i would say you buy proactive it reall works!!!Help with my big pores and blackheads!!?
I'm studying to be a dermatologist. First, I'll tell you what some of the main causes of acne are: Hormones, Stress, Heavy or Oily Make-Up, Diets, Genes, Sweat, Dirt, Oil, Picking, Plucking, and Squeezing, Oil from when Your Hair gets on Your Face, Clogged Pores, Irritation, and Certain Face Washes. Try to avoid those causes and acne won't come back as bad. What you always need in your acne wash is Salicylic Acid. Not very many acne washes have this (surprisingly) except for Clearasil and and Neutrogena. I use Clearasil Ultra Daily Face Wash and it has definitely worked for me and I noticed a difference in just one week. When you start using a new acne wash, it's a good idea to only use it once a day and gradually increase to two or three times a day. You should wash your face before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning and of course whenever you get sweaty (after sports, work, etc.). After you wash your face, wait 5-15 min. before you put anything on your face. The water could still be on your face or in your pores even if it's not visible, so you have to wait for it to dry. Once you've waited, put Benzoyl Peroxide on your face (can be found in Clearasil Creams). The Benzoyl Peroxide will reduce zit size and redness and prevent acne from coming back in as little as 4 hours. Be careful when you use Benzoyl Peroxide because if it gets in your hair, it could bleach the part it touched. The only good part about it, is that it will bleach facial hairs and make them not as visible. You also should not put on Benzoyl Peroxide if you are going out in the sun. If the sun has contact with the Benzoyl peroxide it could bleach your skin and leave a mark. Do not put on Benzoyl Peroxide if you have a sunburn on your face because it will dry out the sunburn and cause pealing. It's best if you use the same brand of products. I do not recommend using toners, astringents, or pads. Exfoliaters are not good for your face unless you have really dry skin. If you don't have a lot of dry skin, don't use exfoliaters because it can irritate your acne and cause more acne to appear. Do not pick or pop acne because it will only irritate it and create more acne. Also be sure to stay on a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. Good Luck!!
Darlin,

I've tried using cephill soap.sea breeze...really rinse you're face good...w/ warm matter %26amp; then splash cold water on it then use sea breeze...Good Luck!!!
Have you tried nose strips?

There are several brands on the market and I seem to try a different one every time I get them - but the Biore ones are the best I have found so far.

They remove blackheads and close the pores - I've been really pleased with the results although they DO make my eyes water when I use them!!!
1st thing: Don't worry bout your Blackheads because they can get worse.

Secondly: Use a good Blackhead/spot removal cream ! I reccomend Clearasil,

also drinking lots of water reduces them !

Hope this helps (: x
im going through that right now! and i recently tried clean and clear- it helps but if you want fast resalts then leave it on for 15 min. then wash it ioff. then wash your face whith sope twice a day after puting on claen and claer. it sounds confusing at first but it works you'll see the resalts in 3 days! but i dont know why but in those 3 days try to stay out side it works better! (good luck)

Open pores and blackheads?

had a big black head right in the middle of my nose. I've just got it out really easily, but now i have an big open pore. What should i do to prevent dirt from getting in there and clogged again (so it doesn't get bigger). Should i avoid moisturizing, and products there general? Anything i can do to shrink pores? I don't have acne otherwise, just this one annoying open pore (previously blackhead).Open pores and blackheads?
you can try rubbing lime/lemon juice on it at night, let it dry, and wash it off in the morning for a few weeks. you can also try neem soap/ face mask. it is a great treatment. i wouldnt put any cream on it to clog the pores...gud luk

Does wearing powder makeup without any base or foundation clog pores and cause blackheads?!?

It should not clog your pores if it's non-comedogenic. Good brands are Neutrogena and Clinique. Those are good brands that are also pretty good for your skin. And they shouldnt make your skin oily. Good luck!Does wearing powder makeup without any base or foundation clog pores and cause blackheads?!?
lots of makeup can clog pores and give u breakouts. look for makeup that says ';Noncomedogenic'; that means it wont clog pores.Does wearing powder makeup without any base or foundation clog pores and cause blackheads?!?
i just did that today and my face got blackheads in the next couple minutes!

and i would say foundation clogs pores more than powder cause powder cant really go deep into the skin..
Yup it did with me, thats why i put on lotion before i apply any makeup on.

  • Pores and blackheads?

I have large pores, as well as the odd blackheads. anyone out there have any good advice on how to manage them? please?Pores and blackheads?
I kind of have the same issue you do. I have a lot of blackheads on my chin and the bridge of my nose and it has been irritating me for years. I just recently started using the Neutrogena Wave Pro and let me tell you...lol. I LOVE IT! When I wake up the next day, I look like I never had blackheads in the first place! The Neutrogena wave is kind of costly, but it is worth it.

The best way to make your pores appear smaller is to clean your face day and night with a deep cleanser, especially if you wear make-up. If you don't need heavy moisturizer (like cream) then use a light moisturizing lotion. I also kind you not when I say, drink a lot of water from the time you get up and throughout the day, water will do your skin right! It's also good to give yourself a clay or charcoal mask once or twice a week. Good luck, I know this can be frustrating.

Help!blackheads and large pores on my nose!what do I do?

So,I've been havin this problem for a long time..It looks like black holes on my nose:( I hate it and I have been tryin to fix this but I can't =[ is there anything that will definitively help me get rid of blackheads?

I have tried Biore pore strips and it seems like they get worse

Any help plz??=[Help!blackheads and large pores on my nose!what do I do?
When I was in school for skin care (to be an esthetician) we were taught you can never shrink the size of your pores but keeping them clean can help them appear smaller. So avoiding sleeping in makeup since it can contribute to blackheads. Since blackheads or ';comedones'; are clogged pores, so the best solution is to find a skin care line that works for you and keep up a daily routine of cleansing and toning, but I would only exfoliate at the most twice a week. Avoid extreme heat or cold since that expands and shrinks your pores which can lead to loosening the elasticity of your skin and making your problem worse. Hope this helps ;)Help!blackheads and large pores on my nose!what do I do?
I have the perfect solution for you. It is a blackhead remover from Revlon (the make up company). You should be able to find it in the drug store (near the nail clippers and such). It is metal and about 3 inches long and 1/2 wide. It has a big hole on one end and a small hole on the other end.

This is how I use it. I take a warm shower and let the steam soften my skin. And when I step out of the shower I basically press this blackhead remover against my skin and the blackheads pop out. Then the next day I use the pore strips.

Do this twice a month or if it is really bad once a week. But remember not to use the pore strips too often (maybe twice a month)

    Good Luck!!
ok every morning and night use a scrub, cleanser, exfolitar and moisterize your hole body and your face.

    THAT'S NOTHING...

I have a swollen BUTT HOLE..

    It ITCHESS sooooo much!

Its like a purpaly color (the butt inside)

When I took a shower last night I was scrubbing my butt for 10 mins to get rid of the bacteria... then I had to rinse it for another 5 mins to make sure it dose not BURN my butt so it won't get even more swollen..

AND THATS NOT ALL... it was hurting for like 4 days!
Use stream of natural chamomile infusion for cleansing your nose blackheads.

Infuse a bunch of chamomile with a cup of water and pour it into a large bowl. Then keep your face over it for about 5-10 minutes or as much as you can. In this way, your skin will become softer and large pores on nose and other areas of face will open. Just after this procedure you need to cleanse those blackheads immediately. For this purpose use a warm moist washcloth and remove those pimples gently.

    Tip #1:

You can repeat this procedure several times, if needed. I would recommend you to use this method once a week.

    Tip #2:

After you鈥檝e finished with all that stream procedure, apply a special wash remedy for blackheads and pores to get maximum results.
i have them too they are dirty covered clogged pores XD... try vaporizing and using a peel-off... or go get professional help %26lt;- its really working for me!

    you'll see, it really works...

i use it and my skin is great !Does anyone know any good tips on how to get rid of pores, zits and blackheads?
You can't really get rid of pores, they're permanently there. Just regular rubbing alcohol or witch hazel on a cotton ball works really well. It might sting a bit but that means that it's working. Use a moisturizer because the reason your skin starts to overproduce oil is because your skin is too dry. The excess oil causes zits and pimples. Find an oil-free cleanser and a scrub for the blackheads. After you wash your face moisturize it and that should help your skin. If your acne is really bad, go see a dermatologist or a regular doctor and see what they would reccomend. It could also be an allergic reaction. I thought I had really bad acne a couple of years ago so I tried everything and none of it worked. I had a doctor check it out and it turned out to be an allergic reaction to sugar. Now that I don't eat as much sugar, I don't have anymore skin issues.Does anyone know any good tips on how to get rid of pores, zits and blackheads?

    Uneven skin tone..big pores..blackheads..oily and dry skin..anything?

Well as you can see I have alot of problems with my skin. First of all its very pale and my skin tone is uneven..And it some areas my nose especially I have oily spots while my forehead and cheeks or more dry. I also have veeeeeeeery deep and small blackheads on my nose and some on my chin. I have tried to extract them out but it didnt work and some are in areas I just couldnt get to easily. So I guess im asking for a regiment of things that are affordable and could help get gorgeous pale skin. Something I can do before bed ever night or every morning when I wake up. Ill put a picture up so you can see what my skin looks like. I promise you its no where near as good as it looks in the picture. Anyone who takes out the time to help me, thank you.

I LOVE your eyes! Are they natural or contacs? Sorry...I had to ask. :)

I have about the same problem as you do! Well, I DID until I walked into Sephora a while ago. All I can say is....MOISTURIZE! MOISTURIZE MOISTURIZE! Go to Sephora (Yes, they are pricey but it's worth it if you have tried everything and it still doesn't work) ask about Hourlglass Moisturizer. Ok? It's AWESOME. IT ROCKS. Ask about the WHOLE Hourglass line ok? Emphasizing your needs that you addressed in your question. You won't regret it. They also, have something that dries up zits....like that. But you don't have zits so I won't get into that.

Anywho, just go to Sephora and ask a girl there (who has awesome skin) what you just asked Yahoo Answers ok?Uneven skin tone..big pores..blackheads..oily and dry skin..anything?
    Well... you know what?

to me, it sounds like you just want attention and praise for your picture, because in it, your skin looks flawless, and you have got none of what you mentioned in the title.

If this is SERIOUS, than go to a dermatologist.
ur skin is oily and dry, take herbal facials n try 2 wash ur face 3 times wid a good face wash.
Go to a dermatologist. They will get you sorted out!
You look normal to me. in fact, you look hot.
I can suggest Paula's Choice 2% BHA Exfoliating Liquid.

It may be a little pricey but well worth it! It's the #1 best seller on their website and almost all reviews are positive. I have blackhead-clogged pores and major break-outs, but since I started using this product I almost completely stopped breaking out and my skin is so much smoother! After using the BHA for about two weeks, you should extract your blackheads. It is recommended for you to extract every few weeks for the best results.
it sounds like you have combination type skin.

in the morning, use a cleanser, toner and moisturise which contains spf15. a good cleanser is Avene soapless gel cleanser, or cetaphil cleanser. both are mild and won't aggravate oily skin or cause irritation. it is important to be gentle with skin. just put toner on the oily areas, a good one is Vichy Normaderm. i use Olay multi radiance fluid spf15 as it contains niacinamide, which is a helpful ingredient for uneven skin tone or inflammed skin.

in the evenings, use cleanser again, and toner, and then try a light balancing moisturiser. Roc hydra bio active combination skin is good, or a cetaphil moisturiser. Eucerin hydro balance light is nice too.

also use an exfoliator in place of cleanser on your blackheads, try Avene gentle exfoliator. or you could use pore strips. they are normally used on the nose but can be used on forehead and chin.

remember to remove makeup at night before you cleanse, with a mild makeup remover or baby wipe, as it won't irritate skin.

eating healthily, lots of water and some exercise everyday is important for healthy skin. try to eliminate all junk food and eat a lot of fresh things.
If your looking to spend no money, the best treatment for skin care is:

    1. Wash face with any cleanser

    2. Sleep before 9pm

    3. Eat health 3 meals a day.

    OR

    1. Go to a dermatologist, they will set you up with special treatments either pills, or a cream.

    2. Eat healthy.

    3. Get a decent amount of sleep every night.

Simple wash your face with Ivory bar soap everyday to dry them up. Then use aloe vera to tighten your pores.
You know there is actually no way to shrink pores but you can make them look smaller by keeping ur face moisturized so ur skin will swell. If you wanna get rid of blackheads you could try washing ur face with a facial scrub and then dabbing egg whites on the blackheads before bed.
    Try this mask:

It's pretty cheap and I totally love it.

How do you get rid of open pore/blackheads?

my skin is in terrible condition...my nose and forehead, round my top lip is covered in open pores...like little blackheads but nothing come out when i squeeze them. is there anyway i can have clear skin again??How do you get rid of open pore/blackheads?
You could try a facial steam to open the pores. Places hot/to near boiling water in a large basin, pop a towel over your head and bowl and breathe in the steam. Do this for at least 5 mins, or longer if you can manage it. Then rinse your face with warm water and apply an astringent using cotton wool(something to draw impurities out from the skin...witch hazel will do the job and is cheaper than many of the recognised cosmetic stuff on the market ..though it smells a bit vinegary). Finish by splashing face with cold water to close the pores. Some aromatherapists place herbs according to skin type in the water used for steaming. How do you get rid of open pore/blackheads?
steam your face to open pores then using clean fingers and tissues gently ease them out,
Ok firstly star a new regiment yea:

    1. Use a good cleanser for your face twice or three times a day

    2. Use a good pore refining mask twice or once a week

    3. Soak a towel with warm water and place on you face or fill a bowl with boiling water and place ur face above it and cover urself with a towel to steam ur face to open all your pores for about 15 minutes then gently use a damp cloth and slowly exfoliate your skin by rubbing the cloth in a circular motin

    4. Before you go to bed use a good cream for minimising blackheads and whiteheads and keeping ur skin oil free and apply it every night. i use an indian herbal creme thats really good for the face

Try going to an idian store and asking them for herbal remedy cremes for ur face. It reaaly works. Keeps your face smooth clear and gives u a halthy glow :)

Hope this helps coz this is my regiment and it works hehe
No way clearasol all the way!

    Hope this helps!
You shouldn't squeeze them because it just makes it come back. You should go to the Drug Store and buy a facial scrub or lotion to use daily.

Check this websight out maybe it can give you some advise:

    Stop Squeezing them.

Get a face sauna, the steam should open your pores wide enough so that you can scrub away the black heads not squeeze them putting more infections into you skin.

Use a good toner %26amp; cleanser. I would advice using a one that suits your skin type such as senstive or dry. By using a toner it should close up the pores %26amp;%26amp; make them more manageable.

if you have a busy life style buy Johnsons 3-1 wipes. They tone %26amp; cleanse your skin without all the hassle of buying 2 differnt products.

How to reduce pores and blackheads?

What you're doing is damaging yes, but the effects can be revesed the reason your pores are getting bigger is because of what you're doing to your face, all the things you have described are things that suck up alot of the natural oils out of your skin, and what happends when that occurs? your skin goes into over time trying to reblimish the lost oil and doubles the amount, your pores open up more to get more of the oil out and air in, Not many products in the stores can help you with this problem trust me my mum has done and tried it all

But let me tell you what my mother did when she had the same problem as you,

and let me tell you what she did to make it stop,

this is a home treatment of course, the only thing

you may need to buy is a lemon if you dont already have some in the fridge,

what you want to do is get some lemon and squeez that

sucker into a tiny bit of honey, and mix that all together, put that

onto the area where you want treated and wait 5-10 mins and than wash off,

the lemon works great as a toner and as we all know toners are

great for tighthing the skin and even better for your pores to look

smaller, the honey helps as an evener, it will even out the uneven

skin tone and also sooths the skin, Plus its better to use at home treaments rather than store brought, most of the store brought products have alot of achole in them, and that is horrid for your skin, Well I hope this helps %26lt;3 good luck

    Acne Marks or Scars

Here is a simple tip that you can use to reduce your acne scars and pigmentation.

    The Oil Cleansing Method

    What you will need:

    Warm Water

    Cold Water

    Clean Towels

    Castor Oil

    Olive Oil

The first thing you need to do is to wash your face gently to remove excess dirt and oils from the surface.

You will then need to warm a clean towel in warm water and apply it to your face for 3 minutes. Do the same thing with the cold water but this time for one minute.

Carry out both the warm water and cold water procedure about 3 times but always finish with cold and then pat dry with another clean towel.

Next mix a small amount of castor oil with a small amount of olive oil. A 50/50 ratio will do just fine. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it stay there for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and you are good to go.

Hw do i close up my pores? blackheads?

i have big opening pores on my cheeks.i used toner and mask for a long period already.but nothing seems to help.how do i reduce blackheads also? thnks.Hw do i close up my pores? blackheads?
There's not a whole lot you can do to close your pores. You have large pores because you have oily skin...again, nothing you can do about it. The only thing you can do is to make sure your skin is clean. Every morning, wash your face with plain soap and hot water (the hot water opens the pores even more, allowing the dirt to be cleared out). Then, use a light moisturizer (oil free) on your face (one that has a SPF of at least 8). Treat blackheads with any treatment that contains ingredients that fight blackheads (can't remember the name of that acid that starts with an S ). Never squeeze your zits, as this can cause scars. Make sure you wash your pillow case every week, as this holds the oil from your face, and can make things worse for your face. There are many products on the market that help treat breakouts. Being an Avon representative, I recommend the Clearskin line, which has everything you need to keep your face clean. If you continue having skin problems, go to a dermatologist, who can give you prescriptions to help you better deal with your skin. Also, you can treat your face to a weekly sauna. Boil a pot of water, set the pot on the table, then throw a towel over your head while you keep your face about 8-12 inches above the pot. Stay in the ';sauna tent'; for about 15-20 minutes. Afterward, use the towel to wipe off your face, then wash with your soap %26amp; use your moisturizer. Keep your routine as simple as possible, so that you're more likely to stick with it. Never go to bed with make-up on. And only wear foundation for special occasions, so as to keep your pores from becoming clogged. If you've already done all you can, then just keep doing it. It's been my experience that most skin types go through stages, and can often clear up, over time. %26lt;*)))%26gt;%26lt;Hw do i close up my pores? blackheads?
Hey, thanks for the votes! Have a great day. %26lt;*)))%26gt;%26lt; Report Abuse

first put a very hot wash cloth on face to open them up. wash with a mild cleanser. then rinse with cold water to close them. using a toner usually helps close the pores, and the previous steps help in eliminating black heads.
cleanse skin thoroughly with warm water and a mild exfoliating rince for atleast 2 minutes.

then immediately followed by splashes of cold water.

pat your skin dry with a clean dry towel.

inspect your skin for any open pores, repeat if neccesary.

do this 2-3 times daily followed by a oil free moisterizer.

    vaste inprovement after 3 days.
Get a good acne medicine...closing up your pores will only make it worse---that actually will create more zits.
Haha.. I asked my beautician the exact same question and she advised me to use this mask called Petalsence for the pores and blackheads on my nose and cheeks...

She says instead of squeezing, I should be using the mask more often...

    Sensitive skin and clogged pores/blackheads?

So after purchasing many different skin products and days of only washing my face with water, I think I finally found my skin problem. To make such a long story short, I most likely have a bad case of clogged pores/ blackheads. Excited to know, meaning I may have to start worrying less about my skin problem. As I may plan to purchase Clean and Clear soon. Though is it also possible that I may have sensitive skin? I would like to know so, since the harmful effects of CleanandClear on sensitive skin. Or usually when one have clogged pores/ blackheads, sensitive skin is rare? I can see how one can confuse sensitive skin for clogged pores/ blackheads.Sensitive skin and clogged pores/blackheads?

You can buy those strips of paper (I forgot what it's called) at the drugstore, the ones that will extract your blackheads. Just wash your face every day and evening before you sleep, neutrogena has excellent products for the face. Then apply moisturizer on your dry spots (forehead and cheeks). You didn't mention acne, so that's good. Good luck!:)

(by the way, the link you gave doesn't work...)Uneven skin tone..big pores..blackheads..oily and dry skin..anything?
I use old school dial soap with no perfume, color, or the like twice a day and alcohol on a wash cloth two to three days a week and have no problem since. I tried all those store brands and went to doctors but they only made things worse and cost money I rather not spend or waste on appearance. I also do not eat fried food or go cook with oils or greases. As for the paleness spend time outside each time longer and longer till you get the tan you want.

How to dramatically reduce pores, blackheads/whiteheads?

I am going back into commercial work; perfect skin is critical. I use Aveeno skin brightening daily scrub every other day, neutrogena clear pore cleanser/mask as a mask every few days on my chin, nose, and between my brows (where I get the pores and black/whiteheads of course), aveeno clear complexion foaming wash twice a day, and c.booth balancing facial cleanser sometimes as well. I moisturize with aveeno positiviely radiant daily facial moisturizer with SPF 30 every morning, and occaisionally use the color from Chanel's tinted moisturizer with SPF 15. I have very, very fair skin and am about to start a freckle fading/intense vitamin C treatment, as well as other serums and moisturizers from c.booth, No.7 and Chanel. I am not trying to avoid going to a dermatologist, but I do want to know what you guys have tried (or heard of) that really does the job of getting rid of those brownish pores on the nose as well as blackheads on the chin and between the brows. Any dermatologist/product recommendations? I have red hair and blue eyes and light freckles, accordingly pretty sensitive skin. But you should use toners after you use any form of cleanser or mask or scrubs. It tightens your pores reducing the chance of anything getting into your skin.

To get rid of the blackheads you should get a facial. They really do a good job of getting them out. And wash your face with something that has salicylic acid in it since it cleans the lining of the pores. And the only thing that I've found out works for actual breakouts is benzoyle peroxide. Clean and Clear has this face wash/mask that's really good. Other than that i don't know what to say. Ohh and stay away from makeup that clogs your pores since that leads to breakouts.

    Open pores and blackheads?

I had a big black head right in the middle of my nose. I've just got it out really easily, but now i have an big open pore. What should i do to prevent dirt from getting in there and clogged again (so it doesn't get bigger). Should i avoid moisturizing, and products there general? Anything i can do to shrink pores?Open pores and blackheads?
its good to exfoliate once in a while so i suggest you take 2 advril pills (generic, uncoated). Dont eat them! take them and dissolve in a few drops of water in the palm of your hand. then rub them gently over your entire face for a few minutes. The active ingredients open up the pores and gets rid of dead skin cells--leaving you with smooth skin. try it out and comment. hope that helpsOpen pores and blackheads?
I heard you fill a bowl up with cool water and put your face in to close your pores. Also if you want to open them you put a wet hot washcloth over your face for a couple minutes. Then wait a couple minutes to put you face in the cool water. This process opens pores to clean them and then closes them.
Wash your face with whatever you use to wash your face daily. If you have anything to put on it that prevents acne, put that on it. I've heard that toothpaste works well, and it actually works on me. Just plain white toothpaste. Just put a little on.
I would avoid putting any cosmetics on it, yes. That includes lotions, makeup, and all the works. There's really nothing you can do to get rid of it faster. It will have to go away on its own. Just don't irritate it.

    Clogged pores and blackheads?

what will clear it...does the neutrogena wave work?Clogged pores and blackheads?
neutrogena wave does clear blackheads, but it can also make your skin super dry! i tried it 2 weeks ago, and i havent touched it since. I'd suggest using St. Ives apricot scrub %26amp; warm water!!Clogged pores and blackheads?
First of all buy Tone soap. The other brands dry out your skin which causes it to produce more oil which in turn causes acne.

When you get into the show wash yourself from the head down. Always start face first, if you wash your arms and then your face your putting all the dirt and oil from your arms onto your face.

At night apply Sea Breeze to your face using a cotton ball to remove all excess oil from your face. Don't over wash or you will dry out your skin. So clean it once in the morning and once before bed.

Your complexion should clear up in about a week or so.
Depending on where they are on your face, Biore pore strips work really well. Neutrogena is also good to use.
Your best bet is to try and develop a good personality. ;)
Have you tried Proactive? Clean and Clear seems to have some good products as well.

I have HUGE pores, and I don't just mean, you know - the occasional HUGE pore that isn't really as huge as I make out, I mean HUGE patches of HUGE pores on my cheeks, and chin.

I have heard that Clinique do good pore minimizing products, I was wondering which one - or more - should I get.

I have acne, and it's fading, but i still have loads of blackheads and huge open pores. I want to get rid of them all.

I would ideally like a mask, that i can leave on for a while and peel off, that will pull out all of the blackheads, and then a cream or something that will close pores, or atleast make a noticeable difference.

PLEASE help, it's urgent. I am going to an important event and I really want to look my very best.

Thanks .Pores, blackheads and other suckish stuff like that...help please.!!!?
    Steam your face.

I know you don't want your pore any larger but here this out:

1)Hot steam will open your pores so you can -gently and easily- push out the puss without irritating and causing redness.

2)Use a face scrub while your pores are still open with the steam. Scrub em good!

    3) Apply a cleaning mask. After you put on the mask steam your face while you're letting it sit. This will make sure the mask gets into every nook and cranny

    4) After washing off all of the mask with warm water use a toner (I just use rubbing alcohol but some skins can't handle it)

    5) Quickly use ice water to tighten the newly unclogged and cleansed pores

You might want to look into Estee Lauder's pore minimizer. I could swear on the stuffPores, blackheads and other suckish stuff like that...help please.!!!?
what i do is mix 1/4 a cup of oatmeal(uncooked) with 2 teaspoons of baking soda(not powder). then add some water. add enough so that the mixture forms a paste. apply onto your face and leave on for 15-20 minutes. then rinse gently with warm water. once your done put on an oil-free moisturizer. do this once or twice a week
Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2 in 1 Wash and Mask is a unique cleanser which can be used in two ways to help keep skin looking clear and healthy, use as a daily wash to prevent blemishes, or use as a 5 minute mask to deep cleanse and condition.
go to your doctor for proper medicine, acne is an illness and is regarded as such my medical professionals so don't buy expensive products go to a doctor and get free medicine she will advise you about your pores
I would suggest that you talk to the clinique rep at your local store and ask their advice as to what is the best product for you to use.

Hey!!! I am a Level 2 Beauty Therapist.

I had perfect skin until I was 18 years old. I started to get spots known as 'papules' which is a painful spot. I used to get loads and I would be left with scars on my face. Luckly my skin is much better now and the scars have begun to fade.

Everyone has different skin types so I believe you should try to understand your facial skin.

    Different skin types:

    Combination

    Oily

    Sensitive

    Dry

    Mature

    Normal

    I have combination skin.

This is my day and night routine:

    1) I wash my face with dove soap bar twice

    2) I cleanse using Nivea young gel

    3) I tone with very cold water

    4) I moisturise my face with Nivea soft

First find out what skin type you have and then find a cleanser.

There are different cleansers, such as:

    Milk

    Gel

    Cream

    Lotion

Always find the one which matches your skin because this will help.

    Exfoliation:

Exfoliate at least a maximum of 2 times a week after cleansing unless you have a exfoliator which is used for daily then do so. Always use the one which is suitable for your skin.

    Toning:

There are many toners around but remember to use the one for your skin type. Some toners have a high astringent level and may sting your face so my alternative is splashing cold water onto your face. It does the exact same as a toner. This will help close your pores up.

    Moisturise:

Always moisturise your skin because it can dry out. And it also makes a good base for make up. Find the one suitable for your skin.

There are a lot of brands out in shops. So go out and read the lables on the products and once you found a good product and it works then stick to using it.

    Aftercare:

If you (by chance) do get a reaction then apply a cool compress to your skin. If the redness doesn't got down then see your GP.

Once you have cleansed toned and moisturise, avoid touching your skin because this is one way of putting dirty onto your face.

Try and get in a day and night routine. Your skin will look much better good.

    I hope I have helped.
    DON'T USE CLINIQUE!!!

I know so many people that have reacted badly to their products and their skin never been the same since. If you already on medication, stick with that, and as suggested earlier, maybe steaming and toning your face on a regular basis will help keep pores clean and uninfected. As far as i know there is nothing that will permanently minimise large pores but please don't be tempted to hide them behind thick makeup, it will only make thing worse.

You can get the blackhead strips that pull all the gunk out, but be sure to cleanse and tone thoroughly after using them...and stop touching your face during the day!

I know how awful it is to have terrible skin, but with age I have found it better to have healthy skin than have it clogged up with makeup and products.

Pores , blackheads and zits OH MY!?

Ok so today i got ';there ALL Clean %26amp; Clear '; some stuff to help with my Pores , Zits and Blackheads, i got soft oil-free Day moisturizer, soft in - shower steam facial , cooling daily pore toner, invisible blemish treatment, and blackhead clearing scrub.

if using all of these everyday some twice a day when should i start seeing my face clearing up?? and how many times a day should i use this stuff?? and is there anything else i should be using to help??

any info besides this would also help a bunch . ~thanks so much~Pores , blackheads and zits OH MY!?
I would use the shower facial just once a week. There is not anything you can do to ';shrink'; your pores, but exfoliating does help to make them cleaner and less visible.

You can use the other products twice a day, morning and night. Although I would recommend getting a facial cleanser to substitute for the scrub once a day. Exfoliating too much may irritate your skin. If your skin is excessively pimply, I would see a dermatologist for recommendations.Pores , blackheads and zits OH MY!?
Woah Honey, you have a lot of things that will overload your pores, this is what I use every morning and night and i have flawless skin

Step 1: I put on Neutrogena Deep-Clean Invigorating Foam Cleanser. I put it on my face, leave it for about half a minute, then wash it off. Don't dry your face.

Step 2: With my face still wet from the previous wash(step 1) I put on 1-2 1/2 pumps of Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. I leave it on my face for a half a minute, then wash it off. Dry face.

Step 3: When face is semi-Dry to Fully Dry, I put on Clean And Clear Morning Glow Moisturizer. Don't wash it off. Check to see if any part of your face is tight(sign of dryness) put it on the tigh area till it's not tight anymore

I do this every morning and night because it doesn't dry my face out and it doesn't make it red or oily or irritated. It works fast! My skin is much clearer than before. I found all the products at Target and it was a really great price!
Wow, that's alot of stuff, why don't you try each indiviually to see which one works more for you, as different things work differently for different people.

One of them could be really good on your skin, but you wont know which one it is, if you use them all at once.

    Hope this helps :)
Ya when you put so much stuff like helping products it will actually tend to get worse..Limit what you put on your face not alot rub it in good. Try goin to A dermatologist they will give you stuff that will actually work and they tell you how to keep A healthy lookin face.
That's like an overload of stuff. It might make you break out even more actually.
You'll need to wait awhile to see results. To get rid of blackheads, scrub your face with the blackhead scrub you got. Or get a grainy, honey and almond scrub, it works really well!! Take a hot steamy shower. Right after you get out, gently squeeze the head with your fingers. NOT NAILS!!! For whiteheads, gently press a wet, warm towel to the spot. Repeat until it opens itself up and drains.

Anyone had success in minimising blackheads/pores? I have them on my nose and hate them...?

Exfoliating will help reduce blackheads. It's not to be done everyday. The most you should be doing it is 3 times/week. You can use an astringent everyday but depending on your skin type it may be too harsh, so monitor yourself for the first week. If your skin is dry you can suppliment with an oil-free moisturizer.

To reduce to appearance of your pores rinse your face off with VERY cold water. It makes the skin contract thus reducing the site of pores.Anyone had success in minimising blackheads/pores? I have them on my nose and hate them...?
I use St. Ives apricot scrub. It works pretty good for me. I hoep this helpsAnyone had success in minimising blackheads/pores? I have them on my nose and hate them...?
Avon has a pore mask that minimalizes pores. But does not take care of blackhead.. try the nose strips for that
I use a mint julep mask. You can find that in any store. It helps to get rid of my blackheads and reduce the look of enlarge pores. Also, try using biore nose strips. They will help to get rid of the blackheads on your nose. And use a good exfoliator like and apricot scrub.

    For pimples/pores:

Other than washing your face a lot :

Ice down the acne before bed, by morning it should be noticeably less swollen. Works best on larger pimples that have not yet formed a head.

Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies. Becareful it might make your skin dry. If your skin gets dry use a moisturizer lotion.

Tea Tree oil can also be applied directly to infected pores.

Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning. This might also make your skin dry.

    Drink plenty of water.

    Pimple Removal :

Prepare for a small surgical pimple removing procedure. You'll need a small sewing needle, a bottle of alcohol, some gauze (or a small band-aid), and some warm water. Some people think you'll need to run a needle through a flame. This isn't Dr. Quinn Medicine woman. Rubbing alcohol will do.

Wash your face and hands before attempting to pop the pimple. Washing your face and hands ensures that all makeup, oils, germs and bacteria are no longer near the pimple you're about to burst. Also, dip a majority of the needle in the alcohol, and for safe measure apply some of that alcohol to your fingers and the pimple--dabbing with some gauze to dry the area.

Prick the white part of the pimple very lightly with the tip of your needle. Once you've done that, put two small squares of gauze on either side of the pimple and apply pressure with two fingers to ensure that the remaining puss is squeezed out of the pore, retaining pressure until clear liquid appears. When clear liquid or blood appears, you'll know the pimple is gone.

Wipe the pimple clean with an alcohol soaked gauze pad. It'll sting a little, but that's a good thing. The alcohol will kill most of the bacteria in and around the wound, helping you to avoid an infected pimple. If you wish, you can put a small, sterile bandaid on the area or cover it with an antibacterial concealer

    For black heads :

Though the best way to remove blackheads is an area of contention, the most common method for getting rid of blackheads is to gently squeeze them. Removing the “stuff” inside of the blackhead helps the skin because you are relieving the pressure which causes the damage. We know it can be nearly impossible to leave a blemish alone so here are some tips for gentle blackhead removal:

Step 1:Use a mild scrub or exfoliant to remove any dead cells and expose the blackhead.

    Step 2:Pat your face dry.

Step 3:Place a slightly warm compress on your face for approximately 10-15 minutes in order to soften the blackhead, making it easier to remove.

Step 4:Pat your face dry again.

Step 5:Place a piece of tissue on the tip of each finger to avoid slipping, which could tear the skin and cause further damage.

Step 6:Gently apply even pressure to both sides of the blackhead by pushing down, then up around the blemish. You’re trying to apply the pressure from *underneath* the blackhead.

Only attempt this once or twice. If it does not “pop”, you may bruise the skin, make the blackhead worse, and could cause scarring.

If you want to get rid of blackheads you're going to stop using oil-based makeup and skin treatmentsBlack pores/blackheads =[?
First of all, no one has flawless skin. Some people have it better than others, but thats just genes and stuff. Go to www.freewebs .com/reelbeauty11 for skin and beauty tips. I know its for young girls, but it works for anyone!

I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist.

are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.

Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.

Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.

Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.

Open my pores and then pop blackheads?

i'm thinking of opening my pores with the boiling water and the towel technique thing. and then popping all the blackhead and crap out of my face, will that leave scars?Open my pores and then pop blackheads?
It may leave scars. At the very least, it will leave the area inflamed and open to irritation.

Find an over the counter blackhead treatment and if that doesn't work (or if the problem is severe) see a dermatologist. Open my pores and then pop blackheads?

This is going to sound really stupid, but I think you should try the Neutrogena Wave. I had horrible black heads- I started using it on Sunday. Now they are fading away so well, you can hardly tell I have any. I think you should buy it!
    no scars.

Apply some warm teabags on the targeted area for about 30 minutes to soften the skin, then squeeze the blackheads out.

Once that is done, apply eggwhite (not the yolk) on the enlarged pores - this is supposed to shrink them. Leave the eggwhite on for 5 minutes or so - not too long, because it may dry out your face.

Put some oil-free lotion on your skin afterwards to rehydrate, otherwise it may become dry and flaky if you scrub it too much.

Keep doing the eggwhite treatment (with the teabags if you have lots of blackheads - don't squeeze all of them in one sitting, you'll have a red, swollen face!) for a week and then continue as necessary. You probably just have oily skin or your hormones are out of whack - don't worry, it'll pass.

And don't let that affect your self-esteem. Smile - people notice smiles more than anything! Let your personality shine through.Huge PORES...BLACKHEADS!!!...X-D?
I know this sounds simple, but all you have to do is wash your face every night until they stop going away. this works because i do this every night and have not even had a pimple. Just rememeber whenever you dry off don't scrubb it. The skin gets irritated. Also, unlike all those scrubbs and stuff it doesn't leave your face all dried out. But you could try some facial lotion. Just try something very natural that sooths the skin. I hope this helps! Don't get frustrated if they aren't all gone in the first week, it takes time. Also remember to have alot of vitamin C it keeps scars from forming.
boil epsom salt and a drop of iodine until jellyish qith water. take cottonball wipe over face with substance and when dried peal off layer. like pore strips but cheaper!
A simple and easy face scrub may do the trick!! Heres my receipe. I take 3 Tablespoons regular white sugar and 3 Tablespoons brown sugar. 1/4 c. olive oil, 1/2- 2/3 c. vanilla yogurt.Combine sugars and olive first then add yogurt. Mix well. Apply over entire wet face using your finger tips in circular motions, paying special attention to your chin and your nose. Rinse with warm water, then with a cotton ball rub witch hazel all over your face to seal pores so more dirt, oil, etc can get in. I promise you will see a change the first day but in a week- 2 weeks, your skin will start to be more and more gorgeous everyday!! YAY!

    3) Buy a tube of Queen Helene's Mint Julep Mask (I think I spelled that wrong but you'll still be able to find it)

Use the exfoliant, scrub it into your problem areas with the toothbrush. (If you have sensitive skin you can use your cleanser with the toothbrush but use the toothbrush - it works like nothing you've ever seen before) Rinse your face off and marvel at how clean your face looks. Now do the mask, it only takes about 15 minutes. Once you've got it all rinsed off you will be so amazed. This will remove blackheads and will minimize your pores. I do the whole deal maybe twice a week. Two questions:: How do I fully get rid of blackheads? How do I minimize pores?
One answer for both of your questions: Keep your pores clean by washing your face DAILY!

PS: DO NOT buy into those products that ';minimize'; the size of pores, pores cant be shrunk in size, you can keep them clean and make them look smaller. thats why in infomercials you always hear ';it helps the look of pores appear smaller';. ';Look';, it does NOT shrink. Two questions:: How do I fully get rid of blackheads? How do I minimize pores?
they have those pores cleansing sticker things for blackheads and then there's face scrubs.. but honeslty i've tried them and my blackheads always come back.

my problem areas are my chin and nose and forehead... this sucks i know how you feel.

let me know if anyone gives you a good answer, i dont even wear makeup and i wash my face all of the time and i still get them!!
There are ways of curing blackheads, that most people know, such as regular skincare, eating a healthy low-fat diet, the use of quality cosmetics products.
I personally facial gets rid of all the blackheads completely and this is the fastest way. Anyway, they will keep coming back so regular facials are needed. Pores can be minimized by using toner regularly, at least for me
Clay masks used regularly helps pull out trapped oil and dead skin.Check out http://useinfo-blackhead.blogspot.com/ for more useful tips to control blackheads.

    Clogged pores/blackheads?

I have large clogged pores on my forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin. It seems like they have been this way for years and years and they never go away. I've used scrubs, exfoliators, masks, ect and they never go away. Squeezing them seems futile since its like every pore on my face. I'm really tired of it and want nice clear skin. Is there anything out there that works awesome on blackheads? or does it sound like I need chemical peels at a dermatologist? Clogged pores/blackheads?
ok, a chemical peel will do WONDERS. first off u dont need to get one from a dr. Im an esthetician and I do them all the time. they are fantastic for exfoliation as well as other benefits. u can get a superficial chemical peel that only works on the epidermis. to get a deep peel u need a doc to do it.

    Clogged pores/blackheads?
No you don't need to see a dermatologist.

    just change your routine.

Every night run warm water and wash your face with a product you prefer. and rinse with cold water.

Help me on this best 10p!! How to get rid of pimple, scars, acne, large pores, blackhead and oily face?!!!?

Please I need to know on this. I need to smaller my large pores, my too oily face, acne and pimple also scars and blackhead. Are there any natural substances that can cure this or any best facial products that I can get from pharmacy? Please, help me.Help me on this best 10p!! How to get rid of pimple, scars, acne, large pores, blackhead and oily face?!!!?
I had the exact same problem, i was washing my face every night and would constantly be changing from product to product.

i even went to my doctor and she prescribed a cream for my face and it still didn'tt work.

as for the oily part goes, you can pick up blotting pads at a drug store which really help, you would be amazed to see how much oil is really on your face.

as for the acne, mines gone now, and all i have been doing is washing it once a week with a very mild cleanser and every night i put cocoa butter on my face, its very rich and is great for your skin. i think that from my experience acne gets worse the more you wash.

for the scars, try pressing some garlic and applying it once a week to just the sacred areas. i cant really help with the large pores, but just try keeping simple one week, and try not using a lot of makeup to clog your pores. (maybe over Christmas break?)

Help me on this best 10p!! How to get rid of pimple, scars, acne, large pores, blackhead and oily face?!!!?
Try to stay away from fatty foods. Eating correctly is very important in terms of keeping acne away ( and your health in general). Also are you stressed in your life? People breakout often when they have alot of stress, like finals week. Acne is pretty much a bacterial infection on overdrive. Your blood rushes to the site of infection causing a protuding bump, hence the pimple.

If you want OTC medicine, you can do a cream that contains benzoyl peroxide 10% or there is also a face wash from Clean and Clear with BP 10%. Make sure you wear sunscreen over it, because it does dry out your skin. If you're a young person, its probably puberty, so get over it, its natural. I had this problem up until i was 21, I changed my diet and used face wash, I've controlled it well since then.
Go to your dermatologist! I started getting acne on my forehead around 12 also. by the time i was 14, it was everywhere on my face, and starting on my back. I went to the dermatologist a little after I turned 14, after trying clean and clear, Clearasil, PROACTIVE (didn't work, when i stopped using it, i completely broke out horribly), and a few other commonly known products. The dermatologist prescribed me Acutane, which is THE BEST acne solution ever!!! It completely eliminates everybody's acne. My derm. gives this to almost everybody with acne, and it take 5-7 months to cure your acne.

You will be glad if you go to the derm. They specialize in skin and give you one on one attention unlike products that you buy over the counter. go. go. go. it will save you time, money, and stress over your acne. i wish i would have gone sooner.
If you don't want to use harsh chemicals on your face, try using Cetaphil. I had this problem also. I tried everythinggg. Proactiv worked for a little while, then it just dried out parts of my face and made other parts oily. Cetaphil works great - my face didnt feel dried out or oily. It felt clean - after a week - my pores are visibly smaller, pimples are gone, and the scars dissapear
    go to a dermatologist regularly.

Help with little Acne, lots of blackheads, large pores, & sensitive skin?

Help, I've tried Neotrogena, ProActive, all over the counter products...they haven't worked for me.

I have some spots of acne on my face, lots of little blackheads all over, redness, large open pores, and sensitive skin (can't use oil).

Do you know any products that really work for my condidtion?Help with little Acne, lots of blackheads, large pores, %26amp; sensitive skin?
I've used dove for 4 years, along with an acne soap called Panoxil (I don't know the correct spelling). Use each one every other day, twice a day. With me, what I eat and drink has never affected my acne (and my dermitologist told me so), therefore, eat whatever you want. Also, avoid any make up on your face or wherever else you have your acne. Don't use any lotions or soaps that are scented!! And by far the best thing you could possible use to get rid of it all is birth control pills. Depending on your age and if your parents approve, look into it! because I promise it will work! The only thing you really have to worry about with birth control is the possibility of gaining weight, but I didn't have problems with that, so there's no guarantee you will either. good luck!Help with little Acne, lots of blackheads, large pores, %26amp; sensitive skin?
i don't, but i have the same problem. The only thing that works even a little for me is to wash my face with Dove soap (for sensitive skin) and follow up with acne spot treatment. Good luck to you, i know it's difficult!
You should definitely schedule an appointment with your dermatologist first and see if they can prescribe you something for your specific needs =]

Try changing up your diet- eliminating sugary products, fried and fattening foods and soda can cause flare ups- its ok to have these sometimes just not too often

Exercise is good for the skin, especially when you sweat

When you wash your face- wash it with warm water then cold water to help close up your pores

A Honey mask is good for the skin- it could help calm down your acne and redness in the skin

Try to drink more water( 6-8 glasses a day is a healthy amount)

    I hope this helped =]
If you have tried using all of those types of stuff then you should prolly consider seeing a dermatologist.
To get rid of the blackheads, try Biore. To reduce the pore size, go to the cosmetic counter in a good store, like Macy's. Try Estee Lauder-the clerks know which products will help. Use thier face wash and neutralizer, moisturizers. Your skin will come around.

Large pores and blackheads on nose. how to eliminate?

i've had good skin my whole life but i've always had big pores and blackheads on my nose. how do i get rid of this crap? i have used those biore strips but those can only get so many blackheads out and does not shrink the pores. what gives?Large pores and blackheads on nose. how to eliminate?
Large pores are caused by a few different things. First and most irritating: genetics. Some people have naturally large pores. Do other family members have large pores also? That's a good indication. Everyone gets blackheads on the nose because that is one of the spots on the face that has the most active sebaceous glands. But if you keep your skin well-exfoliated the oil will flow freely out of your pores instead of becoming trapped under dead skin cells. You should also do a clay-based mask once or twice per month and steam at the same time. This helps a lot. Biore pore strips do not and will not shrink pores and can actually stretch and enlarge pores further. This is because an oil plug is teardrop-shaped with the larger end on the bottom. The strips pull the plug out from the top instead of being extracted with pressure from the bottom (like it would be during a facial) the large bottom will stretch the pore on it's way out, sometimes causing an irregular-shaped pore that will always fill up regardless of what you do. So be careful with those! (aka: don't use them) It's unrealistic to expect that you can completely rid yourself of blackheads altogether but by using a gentle cleanser (one that does not strip the skin) toner and appropriate moisturizer coupled with twice weekly exfoliation and once or twice monthly masking/steaming you should be able to manage the number and frequency of blackheads. Also, your pores will look bigger if they are full. They should look smaller once the sebum plug is removed or dissolved. A good thing to try for an exfoliant is a sprinkle of baking soda with your normal cleanser. I hope this helps!Large pores and blackheads on nose. how to eliminate?
    Try this--

I recommend that you use a clay mask. That helps draw out the dirt and oil plus it shrinks your pores. Its works for me. :-)
Get an extractor to squeeze the blackheads out. Blackheads are made up of excess oil. Also use a toner. Toners cool and refresh the skin. It has an astringent effect which tightens the skin temporarily and makes pores appear smaller. In other words, they cause casoconstriction (constriction in the capillaries) and help to refine the pores. They also contain humectant such as glycerin which attracts water to your skin. The humectant will help to keep moisture in the upper layers of skin by holding back its evaporation. If you have greasy skin, use a higher percentage alcohol content of toner. Balanced skin use 10% to 25%. Dry skin, 0%-20%. Sensitive, 0%-10%.
after you get out of the shower squeeze it out.....and get a pore refining masque and a pore shrinking lotion.....more things to reduce the size of pores are gimmicks though.....size of pores is hereditary
There is really nothing that you can do about the size of the pores. You can eliminate the dirt clogging the pores by either getting a facial, or giving yourself one. Cleanse your face in your normal way and then fill a bowl with boiling water and put a towel over your head and your face over the steaming bowl and stay there until you sweat. You can come up for air a few times, but let you face have a good steaming. Squeeze out the cores of the blackheads. Splash your face with cold water, pat dry with a towel. Use an astringent or toner, if you wish. You will be slightly red for about half an hour but you will notice that your pores are not clogged with dirt and appear less noticeable.

    hi

I would advice you to try some home based remedies for skin ,hair and weight problems, this link has some good information it sure did help me so here goes,

    http://tinyurl.com/zrol5

    goodluck
I've always used oatmeal. Plain, unflavored, Quaker Oatmeal. Just put in in a blender and grind it until it's almost powder. Then take a bit in the palm of your hand and mix it with just a little bit of water to make it pasty (like pancake batter). Then, put it on really oily spots and let it dry. Once completely dry, wash of with warm water. Then, to close your pores, wash your face with really COLD water.

Also, try a steam machine that can be purchased at most beauty stores. When steaming, put a towel over your head to enclose the steam, but only steam for about 10 minutes. Afterward, drink a few glasses of water to replenish.
try using a toner after you wash your face. Use a deep cleaning mask 2x a week.
Get a facial. I know it is girly but you will never feel cleaner, and while there get a pore minimizing treatment. They can usually sell you the products there for follow ups.

For at home I use this skin regimine:

    (everyday)

    deep more scrub

    2% salycilic acid face wash

    poor minimizing and hydrating mask

Finish with a lotion containing spf15 and 2% salycilic acid

Once a week I will use a poor strip.

You'll see results in 2 days.

Best of luck, and for god sake whatever you do don't squeeze. This causes scarring and blotchy skin.
i use st.ives apricot scrub on the area where blackheads nest.after scrubing and washing with warm water i use ice on my face.
I used to have a terrible condition of acne, so about pores and blackheads i could tell you a thing or two .... first of all avoid using products formulatted with animal products or with mineral oils... these will not get absorbed by our skin and will clog pores causing them to appear larger... i started using botanically based products with a pH balance, formulatted without fragrances and with amazing results... check them out ... they are called arbonne, ask them for some samples or for help on choosing which product .... i buy them online at: http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com
Be careful which advice you get, while some products may further damage your skin. Better yet, consult a dermatologist for an acnecare solution. Or, learn more by browsing this site http://www.upkb.com/acnecare.php for skincare tips and product details.
Easy. drink plenty of water and wash your face with warm water morning and night. keep your hair clean. get those pore pack things.

Biore Pore strips get rid of black heads and white heads, sold at Walmart and Target.
    try proactive...works amazing
Excercise and Good Nutrition! I enjoy running myself!
use ponds strips they will pull those blackheads right out. then clean your face with alchol so your pores dry up and close. then use clearasil face wash to put mosture back in your face (because the alchol will dry it out)
What estheticians do is put tin foill over your face and a heat lamp onto the tin foil. This opens up the pores and the blackheads jump right onto the silver foil;. Don't attemt to do this yourself. You may loose your eyes.

Also, you can put your face over a hot steaming pot of water with mentholatum in it and cover your head with a towel. This will open the pores and make them loose enough for a facial scrub. Then, to tighten the pores, emerse your face in a sink full of ice water.
Try getting one of those cream masks. Put it on, let it dry, wash it off. The best I've found is MINT JULEP MASK. It gets rid of blackheads, dries up zits, shrinks pores. It comes in a tube and is amazing. Use it once a day for three days and you'll see a really big difference.
neutrogena facial scrub!!!! i swear by this stuff.i had TERRIBLE blackheads and my doctor recommended it
Use the Vichy line of cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. You'll find it in Shopper's Drug Mart (if you live in Canada). Either read the bottle first or ask someone which one they think is the best one for your skin type. I use and in about 2 weeks I saw the results I wanted and I haven't used anything else since.
    proactiv
mabey a facial, or i think theres a cleanser that you can use that warms or something to get rid of black heads...idk!
dunno, but I'll come back to find out...my nose has been rocked for years
if u wash ur skin very often, you will actually produce more oil... try using products with sal. acid or glycolic. Also use a scrub/peel 1-2 times a week. and also try BBW neem mask 2/wk after ur scrub/peel.. if it dont help go 2 the derm.
use blackhead remover and after using it give massage with mostiruzer
i need to know that too!
i know its ';drastic'; to some people but my skin isnt all that bad but then i tried proactive just to keep it clear all the time and it really gets rid of them. its not all that expensive either!
Yeah try proactiv... it actually works. But some part of my face didnt actually completely got cleared.... Maybe it will take for mine for a long time

Hi honey, Exfoliate to remove the build up of dead skin cells and then the blackheads will ease out and the bumps will disappear.

My daughter tried everything to remove the blackheads on her nose, even those nose strips but nothing worked well enough.

I recommend a facial or a peel about 2 - 4 weeks to keep removing the dead skin cells to reveal fresh, plump skin and release those blackheads and refine the pores.

Find a beauty therapist and treat yourself to a peel.

I have several blackheads on the side of my nose and some look like holes (enlarged pores) What do I do?

Well I've had black heads on the side of my nose for a while now. now they seem dark and some of them look like holes (almost like enlarged pores) I'm starting to think maybe some of them are enlarged. But I'm not sure. The weird thing is that the other side of my nose isn't like that. But when I wash my face with my cleanser, all this dirt and grim comes up from them. So I'm not sure if some of them that are bigger are just blackheads or enlarged pores. I'm wanting to make a dermatologist appointment to see what I can do about them. What do you guys think?I have several blackheads on the side of my nose and some look like holes (enlarged pores) What do I do?
I say it hear all the time...Glytone products are great and they will help to get rid of the enlarged pores or at least make them less noticeable.I have several blackheads on the side of my nose and some look like holes (enlarged pores) What do I do?

Try the followin tips i found for u .do not use chemicals on skin. Follow these instructions and do let me know if they worked on your skin. i'm sure they will!

    1. Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies.

    2. Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne.

    3. Apply a paste of fresh methi (fenugreek) leaves over the face every night for 10-15 minutes and washed with warm water. This will prevent acne, pimples, blackheads, and wrinkles.

    4. Place strawberry leaves on the acne, the alkalinity helps to reduce the swelling.

    10. Home face wash for acne: Mix together 1 or 2mls each of the following: witch hazel, tea-tree and sweet fennel essential oils, adding essential oil of geranium for women and essential oil of rosewood for men. Mix with 300mls of water. Shake before use, as the oils will float on top of the water during storage. Dab affected areas with cotton wool two or three times a day. The oils will clean and unclog giving antibiotic-like protection to the skin.

    11. Apply fresh lemon juice on the affected area overnight. Wash off with warm water next morning.

    12. Use 2-3 tsp. dried basil leaves to 1 cup boiling water. Steep 10-20 minutes. Cool, and apply with cotton ball.

    17. Aloe Vera juice applied twice a day can greatly speed up the healing of acne lesions. You can buy Aloe Vera at vitacost.com

    18. Another lotion that uses bee propolis extract may also be effective. Mix eight ounces of water and 11 drops of bee propolis extract. One of the acne home remedies which has been proven effective with many people.

    22. Mix mint juice with turmeric powder and apply on affected area. Leave for 15-30 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water.
