Whats a good face wash for blackheads and pore reduction?

i dont have acne, but i do have a lot of black heads, mainly around my nose. ive already got the biore nose strips on my shopping list for tomorrow, so dont suggest those. :)

kthankksssbye. :DWhats a good face wash for blackheads and pore reduction?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem dot com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.

  • Large pores/ how to get rid of MANY blackheads! please!?

i have a lor of backheads of my nose area only. ad i have large pres there too. i also have many large pores on my cheesk near my nose but they don't get blackheads they just break out. please can u help me get rid of my blackheads now and large pores later. i use those pore strips those help but they're not all gone, i've steamed my face that didn't really help, i popped many of them but the next day they were all back and i had red spots everywhere and bruises.

i would get a facial but i dont have much time and i hear it hurts! PLEASE HELP!Large pores/ how to get rid of MANY blackheads! please!?
Go to kmart and get this stuff called: Apricot Scrub Blemish And Blackhead Control. I had the same problem. But the scrub works really well for blackhead because it cleans deeply using these naturla ingrediants like little bits of walnut shell, and willow tree bark. But don't worry, it doesn't hurt or anything like that when you use it!

Hope I helped! :PLarge pores/ how to get rid of MANY blackheads! please!?
dear! i can understand whta u r going thru with, infact it has happned to me once.the most important thing is your %26amp; digestive system ,avoid junk food %26amp; fizzy drinks.drink atleast 16 glasses of water a day ,you should drink 2 glasses of water b4 breakfast .next thing is icing ,take an ice cube %26amp; masage yr face with it .use acne soap, apply mud mask ,plus you can also apply aloe vera's juice on your face,it smells bad but it heals black heads sooo quickly . avoid stress and deprseeion .you will definitely feel better in a week
Exfoliate! This is the best way to make your pores smaller and remove blackheads. I use Zenmed's AHA/BHA complex and must say that its great for reducing the size of pores and also removing blackheads and whiteheads. The primary ingredients are purified water, glycolic acid and BHA. Glycolic acid helps to cleanse dead skin cells while promoting smaller pores and increasing collagen production. So, you get smoother skin with less scarring and pores are reduced considerably.

You can find it at popular stores or can also buy it online from amazon or directly from Zenmed.
    Neutrogena.. Clean and Clear..

Clearasil Dries Your Face Out too Much[unless you have oily skin]
    clearacell
normal face cream mosturieses the areas-it doesnt have to be expesnive either
    biore pore strips.
First of all, you need to be using a cleanser with AHA, glycolic acid and or retinol, that will exfoliate your skin chemically, NOT physically. Stay away from scrubs like ST.Ives that have chunks you can feel scrape your skin. They will initially help your skin stay clear of blackheads but they will damage your skin further and cause the pores to enlarge even more. I HIGHLY recommend Neutrogenas Pore refining cleanser and toner. The cleanser itself is wonderful to use as a mask which softens the blackheads for easy removal. After that apply a good lotion like Neutrogena anti-wrinkle night. I know, you don't have wrinkles but it is the highest concentration of retinol found without a prescription. Then, only on the areas where you have large pores and are prone to blackheads put a pimple cream like Stay clear or anything containing salycilic acid to keep those pores clear. There is no way to reduce your pore size, but you can reduce the look of the pores by keeping them clear with these products. I also highly recommend the healthy skin day cream with AHA from neutrogena. There are many primers you can use under, alone, or over makeup that will fill in your pores and hide them. The best that I have found is Cliniques instant pore perfector cream. I don't have room here to explain exactly why all these products and ingredients will help you, but as someone that has similar experience to yours these products have been lifesavers for me. Google the ingredients and you will understand.
    Home Remedies:

Grind nutmeg (jaiphal) with unboiled milk and apply on acne for 1-2 hours. This works as a magic. Pimples should disappear without leaving a mark.

Apply a mixture of 1 teaspoon lemon juice and 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder. Note that this remedy is not for sensitive skin.

Rub fresh garlic on and around pimples. Pimples will disappear without a mark with regular applications.

Apply fresh lime juice mixed to a glass of boiled milk as a face wash for pimples, blackheads, and cracked skin.

Apply ripe tomatoes pulp on acne pimples and keep upto 1 hour, then wash.

Apply grated potatoes as poultice to treat skin blemishes, wrinkles, boils, pimples, blackheads, whiteheads , etc.

Make a paste of salt in vinegar. Rub it on the pimples. Wash it off after 20-30 minutes with lukewarm water.

Put toothpaste on your pimple before you go to bed, should help reduce swelling overnight. Make sure it is the paste not the gel. One of the most popular acne home remedies.

Wash your face twice a day in warm salty water. This should leave your face oil free without aggravating the acne.

Blend cucumber and make a paste. Apply this as a mask on your face and leave it for 1/2 hour and then rinse. This refreshes your skin and prevents acne.

I do not know if any of these work . But i hope they help .

noo you SHOULD get a facial, it doesn't hurt. you've already tried all the other options. if money isnt an issue, then just do it...you'll be glad you did.
Dear, i did facing such problems but now am looking pretty than before. I not need go for facial anymore and it really helps me to save a lots of money to buy those unhelpful products. If you are interested you can message me as well....anyway am staying in Malaysia. Have a nice day.

Is there something to remove blackheads from inside the pore?

for blackheads i use Biore's warming anti-blackhead cream cleanser you will notice result right away here's a pic http://www.biore.com/usa/products/produc鈥?/a>

you can find it at any beauty isle i would recommend target since thats were i buy mineIs there something to remove blackheads from inside the pore?

Spa facials are what we do for skin maintenance atleast once a month. For regular hygiene do steam regularly. Don't poke or extract your blackheads harshly like there is no tomorrow. i do believe that we have the same, oily to combination skin type, especially around our T-Zone. It is interesting for people to think that avoiding creams can help solve oily skin. But its wrong. You just have to find the right-based cream. Cream and Water-based works best for skin like ours. Veer away from oil based creams during day time, you can use them during the night.

You can best help your skin if you do the 3-step facial regimen: wash, tone and moisturize. Washing helps remove dust that accumulated on the surface of the skin, toning provides additional cleaning as well as it preps the skin by removing dead skin cells that can just block healthy cells' absorption of the third step, the moisturizer.

The key is to be able to find the right product to help you with your problem. I can suggest the brand: Mario Badescu. They have a line of products that really is good for our type of skin, I personally recommend the Enzyme Cleansing Wash, Cucumber Toner and the best HONEY MOISTURIZER. If you use these products, they don't have the same ''stretched-dry-skin'; that other products leave. This is often the misconception of people, that dryness and no oil means clean skin. What Mario Badescu does is gently and effectively clean it. Plus they're natural.

For additional cleaning and maintenance on acne, try their DRYING LOTION pink stuff that you put on your pimples which dries it, it stings but the stingy signals that it works. ACNE GEL, which serves as your drying lotion maintenance during day time. To Remove black marks that are left by acne, use their GLYCOLIC WASH and BUFFER LOTION. Check out their line of products online. I dont work for them, its just that they really work and i would like to share it with you.

    Kudos to a healthier skin.
These work like really good. Here is the website you can buy them at almost any drug store. they are Biore Nose strips plus they have face wash and stuff.

    http://www.biore.com/
Those pore strip things work really well for that. Make sure you get them really wet and leave it on for long enough to get the maximum effect.
    You can buy the ';Revlon Blackhead Remover'; at your local walgreens, or ';AcneFree Acne %26amp; Blackhead Terminator 10 Medicated Spot Treatment';

It only cost about 5 or 6 dollars,

If that does not work, try giving a call to your dermotologist for the best solution to your blackhead.

What's the best thing to minimise pores and rid your skin of blackheads?

What is the best thing/product/method to get rid of blackheads around the nose and mouth area (i get really tiny ones around the corners of my mouth) and also minimize/cleanse pores? i seem to get big pores that have stuff :(

I have pretty good skin, no acne and the pores and blackheads are not really that noticeble but i just want clearer more clean looking skin... any old 'wive's tales/ home remedies that you swear by? No generic products seem to do what they say they do...What's the best thing to minimise pores and rid your skin of blackheads?
The best way to reduce the appearance of blackheads is to do the following, twice a week:

    1. Wash the skin using a gentle, natural exfoliating product and pat the skin dry

    2. Fill a bowl/basin with boiling water, and a few drops of tea tree oil

    3. Steam your face for about 5 minutes to open the pores and soften the skin

    4. Apply a clay mask, such as Miessence Organics Purifying Mineral Mask. (These masks will attract and absorb the oil in the blocked pore).

    5. Let the mask work for the allocated time (10 minutes to an hour)

    6. Rinse off with warm water and pat the skin dry

Hope it helpsWhat's the best thing to minimise pores and rid your skin of blackheads?
Mary Kay has great products for this. They are number 1 in fact. I only know this because my wife sells it. They have free skin care classes and this introduces you to the product.
I've been there, I had really bad black kids when I was younger-you need to get some really hot water, almost boiling as hot as you can stand it, to open your pores-wash with some antibacterial soap-rince very well-three or four times-and then take an ice cube, and rub on your face it will cause your pores to close up very quickly, it doesn't hurt or anything it actually feels kind of nice, but it will close up your pores without allowing any dirt or bacteria to get in there-trust me it's a little bit extreme but it works
Hot water and plain old hand soap.
i like the Noxzema face scrub.
www.DHCcare.com Pure Soap + witch hazel works. :-)

The Pure Soap is the best!!! :)
Eat plenty of fruit ( try and get your five-a-day ) and drink lots and lots of water. Also every day you have to cleanse, tone and moisturize. I suggest simple face care stuff as it is cheap and effective.
I use Oxy Pads (maximum strength) - that always works for me.

Get rid of blackheads without pore strips?

i have quite a few blackheads on my nose, and i tried the biore pore strips which didnt work (shocking right?) are there any other ways to get rid of blackheads without digging them out yourself (i've heard it cause scarring)Get rid of blackheads without pore strips?
I use St Ives Apricot scrub. (I'd recommend the regular one over the one that says ';for blackheads'; on it. I've used both and the exfoliating is better with the regular one) It won't zap them over night but you should see improvement after a week or two. You're right, those pore strips are crap. When I tried it, all it did was rip out a few peach fuzz hairs. Alternate days using the Apricot scrub and an acne face wash. I like Neutrogena Rapid Clear and I only use it two or three days a week so my skin doesn't dry out.Get rid of blackheads without pore strips?
It does cause Scaring, as well as Permanent Holes on your Nose/Face,

It happened to me, the best thing is to go to your Family doctor, and ask her to Subscribe you a Dermatologist.

Its the oil on our face that cause pores to enlarged. When oil are clogged in the pores or sometimes the water temperature we use may be too hot ,then it causes the problem. You can't get rid of the large pores ,you only can make them less visible and prevent the pores on other parts of face from enlarging. Blackheads are a common problem. You can start using a facial scrub once or twice a week to help get ride of the oil that's accumulating and to get rid of dead skin cells which can cause dull skin. Use a deep cleanse mask once a week to deep clean your pores. Blackheads will never go away once they are formed even you squeeze them they will still come back on the same spot, you can only prevent them from increasing.
Witch hazel can be used as a toner.

    To avoid blackheads....

1.use a facial cleanser with warm water (not hot water, it can make your pores larger)

    2.exfoilate to avoid cloggin pores

    3. use a toner to tighten pores

  • What can I do to make my skin look better? It's rough... and the pores are reddish like popped blackheads?

I have no idea what's wrong with my skin... I don't think it's acne. I wash my face everyday and I don't have any whiteheads, blackheads or red bumps... my skin is just rough, and I have on my cheeks what looks like blackheads that have been popped. Like, I popped them and they never closed. I only have a few of those though. What can I do to make my skin look atleast a little better? School starts in 3 weeks.

(I've tried the clean and clear blackhead eraser and it does not work, and neither does clearasil... I'm not looking for an acne treatment rather a skin treatment.)What can I do to make my skin look better? It's rough... and the pores are reddish like popped blackheads?
I have those (popped) blackheads too on my nose. I use a really good medicine from my doctor and also other things from the store but it never takes care of that yet everything else. I just wait like a day or two and they go away. I drink a lot of water and it seems to help a lot.

https://nchowdary.qbeautyzone.com/produc鈥?/a>Not blackheads...but dirt in my nose pores?
the black heads u c is only the oxidation of the excess oil. its not dirt. what u can do is 3 steps:

1- cleansing: use a daily oil free liquid gel cleanser for oily skin. suggest: Avene gentle cleanser and Sebium Gel Moussant.

2- use a gentle exfoliant once or twice a week especially on the T-zone. forehead and nose..and if u have any on your chin. suggest Sebium Exfoliant Gel.

3-use a daily hydrationg cream for oily skin, it's called usually Anti-shine cream,, it will reduce alot the excess of sebium or the oil which will cause black heads.

4- if u use make up let it be an oil-free foundation or if u use a sunscreen let it be an oil-free fluid one, not a cream. and make sure to remove them well using a gel make up remover and don't forget the most important: the Toner.

hope these steps will be useful ;) u'll find the difference from the 2nd week.
The dirt in your pores are blackheads because only blackheads can stay inside your pores for a very long time. I would recommend Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub. First, you鈥檒l feel a tinggling sensation as the salicylic acid penetrates deep to eliminate blackheads by removing stubborn dirt and oil trapped inside the pores. Use the scrub daily with Blackhead Eliminating Astringent.
I am afraid sweety that they are blackheads...and well...all i can recommend is to scrub, wash, cleance, tone and moisturise (in that order) every morning with a skin care range which suits your skin type. Also take your make up off at night with a face or baby wipe. And DO NOT touch your face. I used to have a bad habit of touching my face but i have finally forced myself out of it as it puts ALOT of dirt and bacteria on your face. Also i sleep with a fabric head band holding my hair off my face to avoid the dirt collected in my hair over the day being smeared all over my face in my sleep.
Boil a large pot of water on the stove in your kitchen. When it's at a rigorous boil, put a towel over your head and stand a little less than a foot over the water and let the steam hit your face (use the towel to make somewhat of a 'tent' over your head) and do this for 5-10 minutes. Make sure that you don't stand too close to the water. This steaming method will cleanse your skin and open your pores. You can use a face mask to lift the dirt out or use a sugar scrub. And just make sure you wash your face really well.
mary kay has a microdermabrasion set that minimizes pores and a blemish control toner that is great for cleaning pores and preventing breakouts...you should wash twice a day though with a facial cleanser not just soap....i really like mary kay's normal to dry time wise cleanser with the microdermabrasion
those would be blackheads hun and using a facial scrub or clay mask helps a lot...just don't use them too often or your face will start drying out or get irritated. good luck.
I have had those my whole life. I use Apricot scrub from St. Ives and I scrub for about 1 min hard only on my nose in the shower. Make sure you soak it with hot/warm water before scrubbing to open the pores. Then after the shower, I use Neutragena Astringent to wipe out the dirt I missed. I do this everyday, and the black dots have decreased dramatically. Hope this helps you.
i have these things too, for longer than 6 years.....washing everyday with plain soap and water does seem to help a bit but it doesn't really take them away.......
Try an Appricot face scrub by St. Ives. After a few scrubs you should see a difference.

How can i close my open pores and get rid of blackheads?

ok so i am 14 year old i know that at that age you may or not get a lot of acne or blackheads.i have open pores and blackhead and i just want too find out away that i can close my big pores and get rid of my blackheads.iv tryed pretty much ever thing iv espelly proavite that does not work it just make my face even more oily.and im even trying a cleanser if anyone has any tips or something that u think can help please tell. How can i close my open pores and get rid of blackheads?
If you are overcleansing your face (for most people that's twice a day, but if you're cleansing more than 2x then you're definitely overdoing it) then you're actually telling your skin to produce more oil. If you stimulate any sebum-producing gland, it... produces sebum. Some of your problem may be right there.

Also chemical treatments like salicylic acid are TOUGH on skin - for some people that's what they need, but drying chemicals may be all wrong for you. Also, try cleansing and using toner AT NIGHT before bed to get rid of the beating your skin takes during the day, and freshen with a toner made for oily skin in the morning instead of using the cleanser. Avoid alcohol-based toners, as they're very harsh - try something with tea tree in it, as tea tree is great on oily skin and also antiseptic.

If you want to try a more holistic approach, try masks that contain lots of rassoul mud (incredibly deep cleansing, excellent on blackheads), fresh green grapes or garlic for powerful astringents, and lavender as an excellent sebum balancer. I don't know about generic over the counter stuff, but Lush (brit cosmetic company) sells amazing fresh face masks that can really do the trick. How can i close my open pores and get rid of blackheads?
Acne is something that just comes with adolescence. Just do your best to lower your oil output on your face. Don't go overboard, though. What I did was use Cetaphil facewash to remove the oil twice a day. You could go to a dermatologist to get a prescription for some medication. Eat well, maintain a minimal-stress life, and just take care of your skin. It'll go away with time. If you live in a humid environment, then you'll be in a bit of trouble.

If you have severe acne, don't take the sauna approach to try to fix it. It really doesn't help. Dermatologists don't like you doing that.
Fill a sink with boiling water and stick your head over it's surface (careful not to get too close) and put a towel over it to keep the steam in. This will expose you to hot steam which in turn opens your pours. Keep yourself exposed to this for 8-10 minutes. Then after wipe away the excess, or squeeze it out. Do this every other day for clean, healthy skin.

What facial product or facial mask can/do I use to get rid of blackheads, wrinkles, and open pores?

I have blackheads and wrinkles that I want to get rid of. I recently struggled with acne and for acne-post marks I was told to use scarzone, which I will. But now I need help getting rid of blackheads and wrinkles. I can use to get rid of these? I prefer facial mask consisting of fruits and food products or natural ingredients but I will also resort to a chemical product if that is the case. I also have a problem with open pores. What can I do about these? What facial mask. Thank you for your information and if you are giving me a recipe please include the ingredients along with the amount needed. Thank you for your help! What facial product or facial mask can/do I use to get rid of blackheads, wrinkles, and open pores?
No products are going to give you the results you want. And many make problems worse. I researched/experimented for a long time and found this was the only truly effective safe way to permanently reduce pores and rid face of blackheads. You quickly reduce them by quite vigorous massage using an essential oil - olive and coconut are excellent. (See USER'S happy response below). For acne prone skins use clove or rosewood - have been used by specialists to treat and cure acne. They do not clog or cause breakouts. You first flex or tighten skin by tightening face muscles so that you will not be pulling or stressing skin. Use finger tips and front and sides of fingers depending where on face you massage. A circular motion will not work. Do over and over firmly and they start shrinking right away. For quickest results do each day for 15 to 30 min.(Doesn't have to be all in one session). They will vanish in as little as 2 to 3 days. This is also perfect safe treatment to rid face of acne marks.and works wonders on lessening and preventing wrinkles (I can send you emails from users who swear by it). Using the oil you rub the marks and wrinkles over and over and the rubbing friction simply rubs them away. For best results do rubbing for ten minutes several times a day. You will be amazed at it's effectiveness. If massage entire face you will quickly have a radiant, tight, firm, totally blemish free, healthy skin and you will not need to use any other product or treatment ever again - not even moisturizers. Oils are perfect natural moisturizers.

    REPLY FROM A USER - ';Omg, I've been following your advice and massaging my face vigorously with coconut oil for the last three days and I see results already! Thank you ever so much..this could be the solution to my all my skin problems. I'd messaged earlier asking about the pores on my face. They're very large and EVERYWHERE. I have a massive event coming up in a month. Do you think your method with help me get rid of the pores by then? Could I do it twice daily to speed up the process? ';

    Hi:

My name is Michelle and I am a Registered Nurse who specializes in skin care.

Let me preface my response to you that there are no products for wrinkles. Reason being is that wrinkles have to do with muscle loss and a lack of elasticity caused by a loss of collagen as we age. The only solutions for wrinkles are skin fillers through injections or plastic surgery.

Now, if you are refering to lines than there are products you use that stimulate elasticity and nourish the skin.

Now having specialized in skin care for 12 years I have a great suggestion for you and furthermore the solution for the kind of products you're looking for.

First of all, you should consult with a professional and you can do it FOR FREE on this website: www.aboutyourskincare.com

The wonderful thing about this website is that you can ask any skin related questions you have free of charge and you will get a skin care expert/physician to answer your questions usually within 24 hours.

Furthemore, they have the best organic products derived from fruit, vegetables and vitamins. They have the best acne fighting skin products.

For the last 12 years I have had my patients use their products and the results have been consistent and wonderful. They have products specifically blended for your specific skin issue.

    Good Luck!

I have really ugly skin, and no matter what I cannot rid my skin of blackheads. I am fine with an occasional pimple, in fact pimples are the least of my worries. Under my eyes, my nose, and my forehead are havens for blackheads, and no matter what I cannot get rid of them.

    I've tried:

    Galvanic Facials

I know I can look wonderful if I can get rid of this one problem, as nothing else about me is severely flawed, but I am out of ideas, and my skin has practically ruined any sense of self-esteem in me. I'm sick of it being like this! All I want is to remove my blackheads, and hide my deep pores, is there anything left to attempt?

I have had acne before but it was not so serious. (I dont mean to offend)

What I did was Drink Water. (I know its like ';I need something good'; but wait)

    I didn't just drink a glass. I drank a lot of water. And I mean A LOT!

So just pick a day where you home stuck doing nothing, because you gonna pee A LOT!

Drink glass after glass after glass or until you cant seriously take another drop of water.

That will wash away all the toxins and junk that causes it.

Then after you are not full of water DRINK AGAIN.

It really helped me. And after a while you can actually drink a lot more whater than you did before so drink drink drink.

And well I see that the only problem is you forehead. Your cheeks are not that bad, i dont really seee bumps but redness, and the water will help.

    Also try Vick's Vapor rub.

    Put on your pimples.

    It also helped me.

How long have you been struggling with acne?

Good luck.Desperately trying to clear my pores and get rid of blackheads, anything left undone?
Ok I would reccomend taking a shower, and the heat from your shower will open up your pores as soon as you get out wash your face. So the cleanser will clean deep down in your pores and rinse with cold water to close them so it will keep dirt from going deep down in your pores to cause more blackheads. And I think clean and clear has came out with a black head eraser.Im not sure if it works tho. Hope I helped Good luck! =)

How do I get rid of blackheads? And is using a pore strip a good idea?

Effective Tips to get rid of blackheads

Exfoliate the blackhead prone area 3-4 times a week using facial exfoliators and scrubs. Here is a good SCRUB for you to help you to get rid of blackheads

Use creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) like glyco-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells and ';expose'; the blackhead. Use the AHA's every 3 days or so.

Keep your hair away from your face. Greasy hair and skin go together, and hair can spread infection.

Sunshine or ultra-violet light encourages skin peeling, and so helps to clear blocked pores. So sunbathing or use of sun-beds in moderation can be helpful.

Avoid washing the face with soaps more than twice a day. Instead wash your face often with plain water splashes.

Often use a mask with a clay base such as ZIRH's Clay Mask

If blackheads look ready to pop out, you could try removing them gently by using a blackhead extractor. This is a neat little instrument with a hole at one end, available from chemists. Pressure around the blackhead helps it to pop out through the hole. Also, Pore cleanser strips (blackhead extractor) for removal of blackheads. are highly recommended for the treatment/removal of blackheads. Using them once per week will leave your pores cleaner and smaller.

Otherwise use your fingers. Steam your face first to soften both the skin and the material blocking the pores. Then wrap the fingers in tissues and gently roll against either side of the blackhead. If it won't budge easily, leave well alone, as too much pressure will bruise and break the skin, making your face red and blotchy for days to come, and possibly leaving tiny broken veins. Finish by applying a medicated cream to the empty pore.

Only ever squeeze a spot with a definite head that looks about to burst - pressure on an unready infected spot spreads bacteria below the skin's surface, infecting the surrounding tissue. Bad spots need a doctor's advice, and he may suggest antibiotic or even hormone therapy. How do I get rid of blackheads? And is using a pore strip a good idea?

http://www.askaquery.com/question/Tips-t…How do I get rid of blackheads? And is using a pore strip a good idea?
pore strips work good. Wash with hot soapy water, rinse with cold.
yes they work fantastic...there's also a blackhead scrb from clean and clear that works good..use the strip once a week
this may sound gross, but after washing ur face with regular soap, put a dot of tooth paste on each one, it may burn for a minute or two, after like 5 minutes you can wash it off, try it with regular zits too.

    g'luck!
well it depends on what type of skin you have. Do you have oily, normal, dry or combination?

Then depending on that answer go to a beauty store like ULTA(if there is one where you live) or any beauty store.

There are usually the little self test strips there to see what type of skin you have. GOOD LUCK!!

make sure you cleanse ur face everyday with oil free makeup remover even if you didnt wore any makeup for the day

By doing this this will clean your pores better

after so...cleanse your face will a facial scrub

after your face is cleanse apply liquid lotion...keep it hydrated

    then..moisturizer to keep its moisture

always keep your skin hydrated so your skin doesnt have to excret too much oil from your skin.. In the long run if your face is dry your pores will be stretched by the excretion of the oil...ending up with huge pores..Large pores, oily skin and too many blackheads...help me!?
Use clay packs once in a week as it reduces the pores and helps oily skin also .Cucumber juice is a natural toner .Mix cucumber juice with a little rose water and a few drops of fresh lemon juice .Soak cotton in it and apply this on your face .Wash it off after 20 minutes .
I have the same problem and these are the products that I use. Also be sure to apply sunscreen every day (before putting on makeup). Good luck!

What is the best way to get rid of blackheads and minimize your pores?

Going to the beach soon... which means no make-up while on the sand, in the waves, or in the pool. My skin doesn't break out a lot, an occasional pimple here and there, but I do have blackheads on my chin and nose.

What are the best products for clearing up blackheads? Are there any out there that will clear up blackheads and minimize your pores?

Any home remedies to try, with or without the products?

I usually just wash my face with soap and water, but I've started using Noxzema salicylic acids pads and their citrus face wash. It's clearing up the two pimples I had on my chin, but if anything, I think it's making my blackheads more visible.

So, for another question (haha, sorry), do blackheads usually look worse before they get better?

I've seen the blackhead eraser by Clean and Clear on TV, does it work?

Thanks a bundle in advance! What is the best way to get rid of blackheads and minimize your pores?
washing your face with soap is bad as the soap blocks your pores.

i use clean and clear blackhead minimising cleanser. its jst a case of putting it on in the morning and at night, no need to rinse. its really good.

i also have started steaming my face once a week, and in the bath i use 'simple moisturising facial wash' which is completely soap free and minimises spots

i would give both of them products a try, they worked for me

Good Luck :DWhat is the best way to get rid of blackheads and minimize your pores?
just don't touch them nor pop them.

because once you do you get MORE.

if you leave them alone and let them

run there course they will go away in time.

trust me thats what i do and i rarely ever

I HIGHLY recommend using Biore Pore Strips. They work incredibly well, and well worth the money.

    http://www.biore.com/usa/products/pore_s鈥?/a>
Ug dont you hate blackheads?! I get them across my nose and on my cheeks sometimes. I have been using this stuff in a little orange bottle (but it comes in a small orange and silver box) that I got because I was getting a pimple and I have had blackheads. Its called AcneFree Terminator. Its for pimples AND blackheads! Those little strips you stick on your nose them pull off did not work for me. But this stuff is working pretty well. My pimples disappear much faster and my blackheads and starting to get smaller. I also use a blackhead scrub 3-4 times a week. If you cant find the thing im talking about just look in the face wash isle for something that clears pimples and/or blackheads and buy a cheap blackhead scrub.
Getting rid of blackheads is a difficult task. And there are many methods out there that simply don't work.

    For example...

    ......squeezing, steaming and popping.

But here's a method that do work. It's called exfoliation. Once you start to treat it, it becomes less visible.

Exfoliation is the removal of the top layer of skin (the epidermis). And is effective for almost every type of facial skin care problem.

But here's how exfoliation can get rid of blackheads......

Blackheads form when sebum (natural oils produced by the skin) gets trapped in the skin's pores. And if these pores are partly open, then oxygen reacts with the trapped sebum, turning it black in color.

Now to remove these blackheads requires you to ';un-roof'; the heads of the clogged pores.

    And guess what......

......that's exactly what exfoliation does when removing the epidermis of the skin.

And once the head of the pore is removed, the trapped sebum can be taken out via cleansers and toners.

    So how do you exfoliate?

Well you can visit a doctor's office to have a chemical peel, laser peel or a microdermabrasion procedure.

But I must warn you that these procedures are expensive. In fact a chemical peel procedure can cost up to $300.

But there's a cheaper way if you're interested.

You can purchase the at-home versions of the chemical peels and/or microdermabrasion creams. These work well although you'll take a little longer to get the results your looking for.

However, once you've removed the top layer of skin (the epidermis), you'll easily get that trapped sebum out of your pores.

To minimize your pores, first start with a good cleanser. Then wipe your face with a cotton ball soaked in a toner.

This process should extract all the dirt and debris from your skin.

The cleanser and toner should contain glycolic acid that is made up of alpha-hydroxy or beta-hydroxy acids.

During the day your pores accumulate sebum (oily substance) secreted by the subcutaneous (oil) glands along with debris.

This encourages your pores to grow in size. What you'll need is an agent to dissolve the sebum and old dead skin cells.

Glycolic acid, fruit acids and salicylic acid are excellent choices.

I recommend that after cleansing and toning at night, use an acid peel pad to deep clean pores and exfoliate.

Hope this info helps, all the best:)
i just use Cleanse %26amp; Polish by Liz Earle, if you use it with the Muslin Cloth it gently exfoliates - getting rid of them and KEEPING them off unlike the blackhead clearing things because as soon as you stop using them they will come back!

    Also you could do the following for a quick treatment;

~Steam face with facial steamer with a touch of Tea Tree Oil added to the water

    ~Buy a blackhead extractor http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/_en/_gb/cat鈥?/a>

~GENTLY push down on the skin until the blackhead 'pops'; out

~wipe off and repeat untill you are blackhed free!

also Biore Pore strips are good- check this out-http://img.makeupalley.com/1/1/0/8/67641鈥?/a> thats all the gunk that came out of one womans pores- GROSS!! but proof that they work lol

Do pore strips that you put on your nose to get rid of blackheads actually work?

Yep :]Do pore strips that you put on your nose to get rid of blackheads actually work?
It depends on your blackheads I think. I tried one one that a long time ago and it didn't do anything plus it left my nose a bit sticky and bumpy.

I tried again last year and it worked for some of them but not all and it started to irritate my skin, so be careful if you have sensitive skin.

I recommend apriot scrub by st. ives....love this stuffDo pore strips that you put on your nose to get rid of blackheads actually work?
when i used it, it only got rid of some, but it doesnt fully get rid of all of the gunk in your pores

the best way to use it is after you steam your face (like after a shower/bath) then your pores are open, then after you take the pore strip off, use scrub to wash any other remains out.
Yeah. You just put the sticky strip on your nose and peel it off after about 5 minutes. You can see all the blackheads it ripped off on the strip. It doesnt peel them all off the first time, so you have to do it a few times. Hope I helped. [ :
it depends on how many and how deep, big the black heads are. When I use them I can not tell a difference. It looks like i have as many as I did, however I see some on the strip, but not visible difference on face- hope this helps
This at home remedy should help. Rub oatmeal paste on face, leave it to dry for 15 minutes and scrub well before washing off with cold water. Check out http://useinfo-blackhead.blogspot.com/ for more useful tips to control blackheads.
For me, they don't work.. I find that sometimes they hurt and sometimes they don't.. Sometimes they leave a stickie residue and sometimes it doesn't.
Boots have good quality ones. You can put over your nose, or cut a strip and place on your chin.
It works for some but not others. I prefer exfolaiting, got rid of my blackheads within a week or two! Exfoliate 1-2 times a week.
No - waste of time and money. Steam your face over a bowl of boiling water, cleanse, tone and moisturise and you'll stay beautiful!
i found they work temporarily (or maybe i just started a bit too late) - although I am a fella %26amp; i work on a building site - so its probably all wasted time %26amp; effort for me anyway lol
yes, but it wont get rid of all of them but it gets rid of some of them...
No, they are way over rated. The little things you see sticking up are some of the glue that seeps into your pores.
yeah you can see them all on the strip after which is good..

if you like that sort of thing....
Don't know. You will have to try them or get your friend to try. See for yourself. =] They probably do.
They get rid of the superficial blackheads. For the deeper ones try acid peal.
I tried them on me but they dont work for me depends on how bad is your situation.
Not really. If they do work, the plug comes out and you end up with spots instead. :(
Yeah, sometimes a bit rough on my skin though.
Yea but new ones appear after a while
depends on the brand, clean and clear to me is the best i've tried so far.
    Yes they work.
yes but your best not to buy the cheep ones
YES! they do.I've used them before.
    yes. but try ';pure pores';

BURT'S BEES soap bark %26amp;%26amp; chamomile deep cream cleanser (available at target and ulta) is the best! It reduces inflammation, tightens pores, and increases cell renewel (massage cleansers onto face, it helps increase blood flow). Mederma is a really good scar and redness treatment left by acne, you can get it at target, walmart, or walgreens. Putting green tea bags on your face help too. Also, drink lots of water, and try buying some acai (a brazilian berry) juices, such as bossa nova, you can get it at Whole Foods.Salicylic acid and Benzoyl peroxide has never worked for me, Ive tried Proactive, Acne-Free, Clean %26amp; Clear, Laser Dermabrasion (this helped alot with my blackheads but not too much with my pimples), accutane pills (dont try this), and Neautrogrena, none of them work for my pimples! I went to my doctor and was recommended with clindamycin phospate 1% topical gel (for the daytime) and tretinoin .01% gel (for nighttime) and it worked really well! proactiv there is b-u-t-ful skin unda ya ance
You're most likely going to have to spend a little money, there's a reason it costs more, they use nicer ingredients.

I've used Philosophy's Purity Made Simple for about a year, now, and I haven't had a single breakout. It's frangrance and soap free.

As for blackheads, some products may claim to dissolve or get rid of them, but most are false. The key to reducing blackheads is good exfoliation, the type that's best for you can be determined by what skin type you have.

Go to your local upscale department store and ask them to diagnose your skin. It's by no means a professional opinion, and you won't have to buy anything, but it'll help you get an idea what kind of skincare routine you should have.

I've heard rave reviews for Bliss' Steep Clean, which claims to completely dissolve blackheads, but it's $50 a tube, and might be a little harsh depending on your skin type

My pores are HUGE and I have tons of blackheads! Help?!?

I have a lot of blackheads on my nose and they never seem to go away. I tried Biore strips and the Biore cleansers but they don't really affect my skin a lot.

I also have huge pores and I don't know how to shrink them!

Can anyone recommend something that can be purchased from a drugstore? like shoppers drug mart (btw im a CHEAP person)

Thanks in advance! My pores are HUGE and I have tons of blackheads! Help?!?
Yes yes. use simple, clean mint julep masks, and use WITCH HAZEL, which is cheap and comes in a bottle next to the rubbing alcohol. It works well, but has very little alcohol almost none. never use alcohol on your face in high concentrations. AFter, moisturize with cetaphil or like facial moisturizers that contain at least SPF 15. THEN, make sure you cut back on sugar in your diet, and bulk up on whole grains, vegetables and such.My pores are HUGE and I have tons of blackheads! Help?!?
I had the same problem. I use a benzoyl peroxide scrub (microbeads) that exfoliate my skin and shrink my pores. Mine can only be bought at a specific spa, but if you can find one that is 2.5% strength, it would work like a miracle.

When you use it, don't leave it on for more than a couple of minutes. It will dry your skin out, but eventually you will get used to it. I would only use it at night at first, right before you go to bed, in case your skin gets red like mine did. Then use just hot water and a wash cloth in the morning.

Once your skin gets clear, you can just use it a couple of times a week to keep it that way. But at first i had to use it everyday or sometimes every other day. This stuff works better than anything I've tried.

I also use a pH balancing mild gel cleanser which keeps my skin clear without over drying it. But i still use the BP scrub when my skin gets oily.
A regular old scrubbing will clean your complexion but, unfortunately, isn't powerful enough to banish blackheads since they're an accumulation of dead skin cells, oil and pigment deep within the pores. To do some serious purging, use a cleanser and a toner that contains salicylic acid every morning and night, says Miami and New York City dermatologist Fredric Brandt. Try Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Foam Cleanser, $6.49, and Dr. Brandt Poreless Tone, $35.

If the skin-clearing solution doesn't work, ask your dermatologist to prescribe Retin-A, Differin or Tazorac, vitamin-A derivatives that speed up cell turnover to prevent old skin cells from clogging your pores. (FYI: OTC retinol creams, although effective at reducing fine lines over time, aren't strong enough to clear up clogged pores quickly.)

**Regular use of a pore-minimizing cream will keep them clear and less oily, which will make them appear smaller.
If you are serious . I had black heads in corners and on the tips of my nose. They are annoying. You have to use a cleanser to cleaner out the pores and a toner to lock out the dirt. I went to www.warmspirit.org/Marion and ordered the prickly pear exfoliating facial and earth mask. I only had to purchase it once. Its fast, all natural. I have been using it for 4 months and let me tell you my black heads are gone. So if you are serious ordered and start using it right away. Good luck.
I had trouble getting rid of blackheads too. Try Queen Helene Mint Julepe Masque. It worked really good for me! After you clean your face, just put it all over and leave it on for about 15 minutes. It'll dry and then you wash it off with warm water. And it wouldnt hurt to keep using the nose strips to pull out whats left. You can get an 8 oz for like 4 bucks at cvs. (thats where i got mine). Or you can order it from drugstore.com. Im not really sure how often you should use it though. probably like a couple times a week.Although i use mine every other night. My blackheads are soo much better! i can barely see them now.and remember, you cant change the diameter of your pores. but you can make them appear much, much smaller. probably almost invisible by cleaning them out really good and keeping them that way.
    Hi!

Exfoliate totally TRY IT!!!!!!!!!!Dry coffee (ground) on moist skin, rub in gentle circles 30 seconds and rinse! Beware of messiness lol.

Also try witch hazel as a toner/ facial astringent, cost around 2$ at the pharmacy, apply liberally to your face after washing and allow it to air dry. Witch hazel will normalize your skin and help it self-regulate.

I actually found a natural 100% plant extracts facial oil that slows down your skins oil production, clears up pimples/ acne and dissolves black heads within 4-8 weeks I put all the info on my blog as it's quite detailed:

    http://beautymoi.blogspot.com

I also put a full article of how to extract blackheads and steam your skin.

Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted from your pores and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix, no water based product can ';clean'; your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. So this is basically how this oil works. It's composition is such that the skin accepts it as a healing oil and it does not clog your skin but rather protects it while the plant extracts inside go down into the pores (this absorption is made possible by applying the toner to the skin before applying the oil and then applying the dabs of oil over your moistened face), it then penetrates into the pores.

I put where to the name of the oil and prices in stores versus on eBay as well as how to apply it on my blog:

    http://beautymoi.blogspot.com

Also be sure to check out all the links on my blog as they have lots of info!!!

you can buy proactiv at mall kiosks. go to their website

does anyone else think that blackheads/whiteheads look like sesame seeds when you push them out?Very large pores, full of whiteheads and blackheads..need help!?
Best you can do is wash your face daily with facial cleanser, and use a oil free moisturizer and sunblock. Take vitamins, drink water and stay healthy and your skin will be healthy too.
go to the store and buy the biore blackhead strips. You just stick them on ur nose, wait a little while and just rip if off and out comes blackheads and all. Thats the best I have ever found.

I have so many blackheads and i have so so big pores.... Help!?

I have tried a lot of facial foams and none of them works. I have used pond's, clean %26amp; clear, belo, olay, neutrogena... I'm so tired trying so many products. I hate these annoying blackheads over my nose and forehead. They are so embarrasing! Please help me! I want to have a smooth and fair skin!I have so many blackheads and i have so so big pores.... If you want to get rid of your blackheads and pores on your face or nose the best things to do is doing face mask. You can try to buy some Mud face mask it can help get rid of your pores and blackheads and clean up your face very well. But before you apply the mask exfoliates your face first then apply the mask on your face. Do it 2 or 3 times a weeks for sure you face will become soft, smooth, and moisture all the times.I have so many blackheads and i have so so big pores.... Help!?
Beat white part of an egg. Add one teaspoon of honey and with a cotton swab, apply it on face. Keep it around half an hour and then scrub well and rinse with warm water. This is also good for blackheads and dark spots. Check out http://useinfo-blackhead.blogspot.com/ for more useful tips to control blackheads.
    Dove soap..

It makes your skin soft %26amp; smooth.

    Smells good too.
A good face mask is 'Soap and Glory's' 'Scrub your nose in it'. Or for a daily face cleanser I find clearasil works well if you use it in the morning and in the evening aswell.

Plus eating plenty of fruit and vegetables helps keep your skin healthy. I don't recommend wearing foundation, even if your skin is bad because the more you put on the more your pores clog and the worse your spots get, so steer clear from foundation and remove all makeup at the end of the day. Also, I wouldn't use fake tans either.

    Hope that helped!
Washing your face THOUROUGHLY once in the morning and once at night will be very effective. But it'll take time and patiece. Hang in there! You may also choose to use blackhead removing and/or exfoliating scrub. Both may work, but I prefer face washing.
Get some witch hazel face patches. You can use them on your nose to remove the blackheads there. I use them once a week.

Blackheads on breasts? or big pores?

i have these blackhead type looking things all over my breasts and some of them are very big and some are smaller.. if i try to pop them they usually don't pop but when i do i can pop alot of them at once but its kind of a liquidy white so i dont think its a blackhead.. but its really annoying and sometimes they leave scars and i've tried acne wash and everything but its just getting worsee... helpp!Blackheads on breasts? or big pores?

dont try popping them since they are on a delicate area

the white liquid is fat so they could be considered pimples...after all breasts are just two big lumps of fatBlackheads on breasts? or big pores?
    Go to a dermatologist.
I get that too, and I always assumed it was just big pores.

Try scrubbing with an exfoliating wash.

I have tiny pores but tons of blackheads what can you recommend?

So i've had blackheads for hmm since i was 12 or 11 and im 13 now, almost 14. They're only really on my nose and around it, and nowhere else. I have quite tiny ones, but yet they're visable! its annoying because i do a facial steambath and clay mask every weekend, which helps with blemishes but doesnt seem to penetrate my pores deeply! I tried a clean and clear scrub, didnt work. Biore strips too. Im gunna do one after i ask this question but im very frustrated! Some days i feel like i don't have that many but for example today i feel like i have a huge amount! plz help :( thanksI have tiny pores but tons of blackheads what can you recommend?
try clean and clear blackhead scrub 3 times a week

different things work on different peoples skin, you could try tea tree oil or lavender oil to calm the skin and your pimples,

wash your face twice daily, keep your fringe and hair off your face as much as possible.

for me different products work at different times, i find witch hazel has generally been the best http://www.witchskincare.com/products.as鈥?/a> i use the foaming wash three times a day and the expholiating gel wash about three times a week (using it too often will make your skin more greay and prone to spots) and the witch stick is perfect for quick treatments to calm blemishes, i like to use this before i go to bed and leave it on over night.

as for scars, i dont get any deep scaring with witch! but i do like to use http://www.boots.com/shop/product_detail鈥?/a> no7 from boots, if you buy it at the right time you can save a lot of money (they have 3 for 2 atm!) and that covers any light scars and blemishes and it doesnt effect my skin, even if i forget to take it off at night!

i find the best was to prevent scars is to just avoid temptation to pop or touch the pimples, if you are tempted, try washing your face. i find it helps stop the urge!

*toothpaste does NOT work, it only burns and dries out the skin*

I used to have very clear skin. Now it is covered in blackheads and large pores, with several pimples that?

pop up each week. It's been within the last 2 years that my skin has gotten like this, and I'm not sure why. How do I clear it up and make the large pores go away?? Thanks in advance.I used to have very clear skin. Now it is covered in blackheads and large pores, with several pimples that?
buy yourself some natural soap and tea tree water spray, if there is a shop called lush near you go in and get yourself a soap called coalface. It's got rid of the oil on my skin, shrunk my pores and makes my skin baby soft (:I used to have very clear skin. Now it is covered in blackheads and large pores, with several pimples that?
It's probably stress plus how you are eating. You have to drink a lot of water and eat a lot of vegetables to keep your skin clear. You should also give up meat 3 times a week and substitute fish.

Should i use ponds pore strips (for blackheads on my nose) before or after i shower?

any tips?Should i use ponds pore strips (for blackheads on my nose) before or after i shower?
you could do either, but i'd recommend steaming your face [holding a hot wash cloth against your skin] in order to open your pores so more of the blackheads are removed with the strips.Should i use ponds pore strips (for blackheads on my nose) before or after i shower?
Wash you face in the shower with a scrub (it'll get dead skin out of the way) then apply the strip when coming out. The pored are open, allowing more dirt and grime to come out. Rinse with cold water when taking it off to get rid of gkuish residue from the strip, and to seal pores. Have fun!
After you shower because you want to start on a clean and fresh surface. Also because they stick better when your nose is slightly wet. I've used them before they really work. Hope i helped.
After because the hot water from the shower will open up your pores and make it easier to remove the black heads.
I would say before since the strip can leave a little residue on your face, but make sure you wash your face before you use it.
After so the steam will open up your pores

    they'll be more effective then

How do I make my pores smaller and get rid of my blackhead and whitehead?

use scrubs on a regular basis to gey rid of blackheads. To make your pores smaller, you can rub some tomato juice (from a slice of tomato) on your face. Leave it to dry. Wash off. Do this regularly. Trust me, it helpsHow do I make my pores smaller and get rid of my blackhead and whitehead?
    Benxoyl peroxide.

www.shiseidocity.blogspot.comHow do I make my pores smaller and get rid of my blackhead and whitehead?
One of the main thing to do is to not touch them or try to pop them. That leaves scars that look worse that the blemishes themsleves. Try a facial care line like Proactiv or a line by Neutrogena or L'Oreal that contains salycilic acid (I'm not sure if I spelled that right but basically a line of facial care for acne). Wash your face in the morning and before you go to bed - especially if you wear a lot of makeup during the day - and use a moisturizer with no oil.
    step:

    1.rinse your facee w/ warm water(almost hot)

2.wash your face w/ saop (and a good one)

    3.scrub a dub dub (alot)

4.rinse your face w/ warm water (almost hot)

    5.repeat

    6.finishing touch--rinse w/ super cold water(important!!)

*don't do this in the day. do it in the night before you go to sleep b/c it works only at night

*hot water opens your pores to allow the soap to clean and cold water closes your pores to prevent dirt from entering
someone once told me that you can't actually shrink your pores, but try using Garnier Skin Naturals Pure A. I've used it for a few weeks now and it SEEMS like my pores are smaller. It's a bit price-y but if it works then its worth it.

    :)
wash in warmer water and rinse in cooler water. the warm water will open your pores to get them clean and the cool water will close them to keep dirt out. drink lots of water and keep your hands and face as clean as you can. stay away from fried foods.
well to het rid of your black heads you can use this home remedy, a fair amount of baking soda and little, little water and then leave it on for 5 minutes and rinse with warm water and if the remedy stings that means it is working and to get rid of your whiteheads pop them or use a sensitive olay foaming face wash you can get at your nearest pharmacy or wal-mart target or any other store. And honey you cant make your pores smaller.
Steam is GREAT one your pores! Even a hot washcloth laid over your face until it cools down will open them then I was my hands with regular hand soup just so my hands are clean and then rub hot (or as warm as you can handle) water all over my face until it feels clean to touch and then slash some cold water on my face at the end to seal my pores again. I normally do that about twice a week just to be natural and chemical free.
Use a toner after you wash your face every time. You can also do microdermabrasions. They are expensive at the spas however you can purchase a kit at the drugstore that is not as powerful and do it once a month. It makes your pores smaller and keeps bacteria from getting in.

What pore strips would you recommend to remove blackheads?

also, any tips for using them?

    or how to use them?

    anything at all really...

thanks :DWhat pore strips would you recommend to remove blackheads?
You can get an off brand which is cheaper, it is all made the same, I usually get the gentle ones. If you have ever used them, it feels like you are removing a layer of skin. Either uses the gentle ones or, after they dry put on a small amount of water to help in the peeling. You will see, it takes off hair and everything. What pore strips would you recommend to remove blackheads?
Stay away from those little strips of evil. They will do no good in the long run. Some of the blackheads will go but your skin will suffer for it. Best way to go about getting rid of blackheads... Go to a beautician and get a facial, afterward wash you face at night, use a scrub twice a week, a toner and a non-comedogenic water-based night moisturiser and NEVER put make-up on an un-moisturised face (day-moisturiser with SPF15 at the least)

If you are really set on using the strips then not more than a couple times a year and try to gently push out the occasional ones with your fingers (NOT your nails) or an extractor.
Biore has some really nice ones and on how to use them, make sure you get your face really wet, and dont take them off early also wash your face after use
biore... it's very effective.... juz follow the instructions.. paste it on your nose, wet with water, wait for ten minutes and PEEL
I wouldn't recommend them at all,

Try using a blackhead scrub instead...

Or if they are really bad you might need a beauty spa.

I have also heard that steam can help them, so try a face washer soaked in hot to warm water and put that over them for a few mins... then try a extractor or a pore scrub.

When you use them strips they wax your nose as well and unless you want a hairy nose, PLEASE don't use them lol I was told this by a beautician, so I have never used them

They also pull at the delicate skin near your eyes...

They are very harsh and produce little if any results anyway.

Good luck and I hope you find something that works!

How do you get rid of blackheads and clogged pores?

I have tried every product on the market with no success. Even home remedies don't do anything. How do you get rid of blackheads and clogged pores?
Have you been using cleansers with salicylic acid? If so, and they still don't work then you may have to steam them!!! This is a bit tedious.

    1. Steaming the Pores

Steaming can be done as often as twice a week but for no longer than 10 minutes at a time. This is a great way to clean out pores and loosen blackheads.

    2. Combine 1/4 cup boiling water with one teaspoon of Epsom salt and three drops of iodine.

Let mixture cool until it's comfortable to the touch.

Saturate a cotton ball with this mixture and dab on blackheads.

This will allow them to loosen so they can be easily squeezed with a gauze pad.

    3. Combine equal parts baking soda and water in your hand and rub gently on your skin for 2 to 3 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

After loosening the blackheads, you can extract the blackheads easily. Here are ways to extract blackheads:

    1. You can get a metal blackhead removal tool. It is usually available at the chemist's shop. It's long and narrow and has a hole in either end, one large and one small. You choose one end, center it over the blackhead and press down gently. The gentle pressure on the skin sometimes dislodges them quite easily. A lot less stressful than using your fingers.

    2. Use a deep cleansing face mask prefferably a clay mask. How do you get rid of blackheads and clogged pores?
there are many way you can buy these pads that you put on your nose that will remobe black heads off of it (if you have any on your nose) and for the clogged pores i would say wait it out cause if you try to mess wit it, it might get ugly.
Honestly, prevention is the best way to get rid of them. Try Clean and Clear face soap. It's orange with a purple lid, and I know they have it at Walmart. Also, the St. Ives Apricot scrub is a really good exfoliate, but I always use the Clean and Clear after it.

As far as getting rid of the ones you already have, I hate having to admit it, but I don't know anything better than just popping them. Get a mirror with a really bright light. Even better would be a mirror that magnifies.
Try using the new Dove Wave. I have one and love it. It simplifies all of the skin care into one thing. Before that I used Clinique's 3 Step System. I didn't really like it. Of course I'm not a big beauty/skin person either.
    EXFOLIATE!!!

and if this fails, try getting a facial with a dermaplane or peel. it may be pricey, but it works wonders
i wash my face with clearasil deep cleansing scrub every night before i go to bed. it'll prevent black heads and clogged pores from happening. i used to have black heads on my nose but when i started using it, i never had any kind again because none of my pores were clogged.
sounds like one of the biore products i saw on their website a few mins ago. i would check it out it literally said it got rid of clogged pores and blackheads.
Ok... first of all, you need to do it for about a week.

Step one) Dip a cotton ball into Isopropyl Alcohol

Step two) Rub that over your face [especially where most blackheads are]

Step Three) Wash face in shower

    Step Four) Shower everyday

Step Five) Don't eat high fructose corn syrup, it helps create pimples

Step six) Repeat for a week

I hope that helps, if not... sorry. Good Luck!
try biore's warming black head scrub. it did wonders for my face. the first week it sort of dried out your face, but afterwards the dryness went away now i have practically no blackheads at all.
um, i know this sounds weird but wash your face with lemon juice, it works really well, u wash ur face with the lemon juice once in the morning and once at night.
I had really bad acne and all I did was use a sink full of hot water..as hot as a bath would be.

Just put your face in it for 30 seconds at a time and do it 3 time per sink full and do 3 time a day..pat your face dry with a fresh clean towel and in a matter of days it will clear up dramatically...also..keep your pillow cover clean.
    omg perfect question.....

i bought this face mask about 4 weeks ago....and it is great...it is especially made to unclog pores which will take away your blackheads...

i had bad blackheads on my t-zone area and a few blemishes....and they are gone

you use this once a week...so it is super easy....i have used it 4 times and my face is CLEAR....

ok its called Steep Clean-professional strength facial mask

and its by the company Bliss

    i found mine at www.sephora.com

its a bit expensive but if it is used once a week it will last for months....its a big bottle

so yea...i highly recommend this stuff
whatever you do- DO NOT SQUEEZE.

i know its tempting..but if you squeeze, scratch or pick pimples %26amp; blackhead this will cause scarring which is even worse.

i use proactiv, but this is pretty expensive %26amp; not something you can just go down to the shops %26amp; get.

use some products ecspecially made for clearing blackheads like clean %26amp; clear, nuetrogen %26amp; clearasil.

you could even go see a dermatologist.

i know it sucks, just be patient =]
Use and exfoliating scrub every other day! i also found that those things you put on your nose and rip off work too! and face masks every week or every other week!
    try using a three-step process:

    1. wash: wet your face before rubbing in an anti-bacterial fash wash. rinse face thoroughly and dry.

    2. exfoliate: take a cotton swab and use an alcohol based astringent to lift away dirt and oil.

    3. moisturize: rub in an spf-15 or greater moisterizer.

repeat 1-3 a day. it worked for me! i had really bad acne and oily skin, now it looks and feels great!
DO NOT ever squeeze blackheads, it will cause scars!

You might wanna buy those pore strips e.g nose strips. buy good product ones. Biore is an excellent product, good price.

It might not take all of them away, thats when you need to seek a professiona help, a dermotologists exist for good reasons. They will need to use an equipment to take them off. i've tried it, it's not painful. it hurts just a little bit around the nose, nothing serious. Remember, you want to have a good skin all of your life. Dont ruin it by squeezing them, or using cheap products, or any products you find randomly. Your face is a delicate area.
    squeeze
To remove blackheads from yr face, massage a small amount of jojoba oil (from health food shop, not expensive $4 max) into yr skin then use a cleansing scrub. The jojoba oil helps to soften the debris and hardened sebum, or oil that clogs the pores. this really does work... good luck
have you tried ProActive? a few years ago when it first came out i did and was amazed, it really works. Also you did not mention your age. If you are a teen or young adult sometimes they will go away over time as long as you wash your face morning and night. but ProActive is GREAT. Look into it.
make sure you wash your face properly with face soap and then pour some boiling water into a bowl ,make a el grey tea broth and cover your head with towel and hold it for 10 minutes ! your face will be like new born baby!

How Do I get rid of Blackheads and clogged pores without drying my sensitive skin?

I have really sensitive skin, I tried almost everything, Proactive, all that Walmart over the counter stuff. Its not bad where it covers all of my face, its just my cheeks, chins and a little bit on my forehead. These blackheads or clogged pores cause my skin to swell up in little red bumps and pimples. If I squeeze it out, which is not a good idea and is really disquisting im sorry, it comes out in a small oval shaped clear thing. Anything I try, I end up drying up my skin and making it irritate really bad, expecially around my mouth and nose area.

I need to find a solution. ThanksHow Do I get rid of Blackheads and clogged pores without drying my sensitive skin?

  • How to get rid of blackheads and large pores?

Ive been having blackheads for a long time... i try everything but they wont go away. any kinds of home remedies? they're pretty stubborn and tough so they wont leave so easily..

also.. i have large pored on the sides of my cheeks near my nose. i try that steaming then splashing my face with cold water but just like the blackheads, they too are stubborn.. ):

are there any home remedies that can help with this?

    i have

    -combination skin type

    -sensitive skin

    - and what makes me mad the most is that i can get HUGE pimples very easily .

i don't know what to do. im pretty sure its not genetics. my parents don't have very noticeable pores. How to get rid of blackheads and large pores?
Steaming is a good idea as it opens the pores, but cleanse before you splash with cold water (it closes the pores), or you'll be closing your pores with all the dirt still in them.

Toning is reasonably important too, as is a *light* moisturiser (don't apply moisturiser until your skin is completely oil / dirt free though, or you'll be sealing the dirt in)

I know it sounds corny, but try to drink plenty of water and keep as good a diet as possible - the water will help flush any excess toxins you have out the, *cough* 'natural' way, and a good diet will help to see there are as little toxins as possible :o)How to get rid of blackheads and large pores?
microdermabrasion will make a noticeable difference however you'd need to see a dermatologist or beautician. At home though, you could use a facial exfoliating cloth but it will take a while to see the results.

How can i prevent blackheads and big pores?

PREVENT is the key word here, sure im trying to get rid of existing ones, but what kind of things should you do to stop yourself from developing new ones?

why do nose pores get disgusting? is it becuase of the oil on the face or what?

and as for black heads do these develop becuase of makeup or becuase of natural things going on?

if i wash my face twice and day, moisturize, and dont wear makeup on my face will these pore problems go away?

the trouble is is that just doing this wont cure pimples, which i have, and it looks discusting so im very tempted to use concealer! How can i prevent blackheads and big pores?
Yes I have the same problem!! I have large pores and as a result I get blackheads! Don't listen to people when they suggest all these facial washes, etc. These are only designed to remove blackheads for people with a mild blackhead problem. They will reduce some of the blackheads but not enough to significantly improve the appearance of them. The only way to keep them at bay is to either have them professional removed at a salon every so often. Or to go to the doctor who can prescribe some cream. The kind of cream they prescribe is what is used to treat mild acne. I used to use it but it made my skin so dry I had to stop. But it is different for everyone!! Also not a good idea to wear foundation when you have large open pores because it will clog up your pores leading to spots, and blackheads getting worse. But then saying that I don't really wear make-up so don't know much about it. However i did read that foundation is bad for blackhead prone skin. Probably best to speak to someone at the beauty counter of a store and ask if they know of any foundations that do not clog pores. How can i prevent blackheads and big pores?
    proactiv
This should help. Rub oatmeal paste on face, leave it to dry for 15 minutes before washing off with cold water. Beat white part of an egg. Add one teaspoon of honey and with a cotton swab, apply it on face. Keep it around half an hour and then rinse with warm water. This is also good for blackheads and dark spots. Please dont say i have to buy something, there must be a way to remove my blackheads from my nose!Whats the best way to remove blackheads from my nose without the pore strips or cleaner?
Sticky tack (the stuff you use to stick posters to wall and such). I found this out one day while I was playing with some sticky tack while surfing the web. I didn't realize I had it stuck to my nose, when I pulled it away it took the blackheads with it. I went to the bathroom mirror and tried it around my whole nose and I haven't had a blackhead since. Kind of a weird solution but it works, trust me. All of my friends have tried it also with the same results. Hope this helps.

    SEVERE blackheads and blocked pores!?

Ok, I'm 15 and ever since the 5th grade (I was 9 at the time) I have not had one acne-free day. I have always had most bumps on my forehead and always got made fun of because I was the only kid in elementary school to have acne. By 6th grade I had huge blackheads. Then, two years ago, I started taking a homeopathic acne pills. Most of my big bumps are gone, I have some very tiny bumps on my forehead, and the occassional zit, but I've learned to be happy wiht that. My problem is blackheads and blocked pores. I used to have nice, tight pores before acne, I remember, my mom told me it's the oil and dirt in there that stretched out my pores. Now, on my forehead, nose, cheeks, chin, and above my upper lip (pretty much everywhere) I have huge blackheads and blocked pores. The pills did not help with that. My blocked pores are huge, people can actually stand a a few feet away from me and see how big they are, the biggest ones on my cheek. Ok, I'll continue my question below!SEVERE blackheads and blocked pores!?
alright, there is a procedure called comedo extraction, comsmetic surgery office should know. maybe the one you had your peel done. it's a type of peel and they sit and pick everything out of your face. it hurts but it's worth it. but that's not it. apparantly it seems like meds dont work and everything you're using has some sort of soap ingredient. some people's faces just do not respond to soap ingredients so try to find a soap-free Ph balanced face wash. also i know this sounds crazy but acetone. plain acetone..it's a de-greasing agent and i promise it's safe for skin. have you ever painted your nails? didnt burn your fingers off. be sure to keep it out of your eyes and mouth of course but it will not hurt you. call your doc if you want to double check. have you tried aveda products? they're expensive but the self confidence pays for itself. there are pads called outer peace...wipe your face with them after you wash it first. they work miracles. also have you asked your doctor to give you pure salicylic acid? the things you buy only have 2%. best of luck :)SEVERE blackheads and blocked pores!?
Go to the doctor and let him/her know your situation. Ask what will be the best product to treat the blackheads and he/she will send it to you.
Try a baking soda paste. Make a paste with 2 parts baking soda and one part water. Leave it on your face for about 10 mins and wash it off. You could also try washing your face with a little baking soda and water instead of making it into a paste. I've heard that this really gets rid of blackheads. I don't have any so I can't tell you if it works. Something I have tried is Apple Cider Vinegar. It seems to help any skin problem. Try applying Apple Cider Vinegar to your face 2 times a day with a cotton ball. Good luck!
Maybe you eat too much sweets?? that sometimes causes blackheads..

if you have large pores, it is very easy for oil and dirt to get trapped down in there, causing the blackheads. unfortunately, there isn't anything you can do to physically shrink them. there are products that can minimize the appearance of them, but there isn't anything that can permanently make them smaller.
Clay masks used regularly helps pull out trapped oil and dead skin.Check out http://useinfo-blackhead.blogspot.com/ for more useful tips to control blackheads.
