My pores are HUGE and I have tons of blackheads! Help?!?

I have a lot of blackheads on my nose and they never seem to go away. I tried Biore strips and the Biore cleansers but they don't really affect my skin a lot.

I also have huge pores and I don't know how to shrink them!

Can anyone recommend something that can be purchased from a drugstore? like shoppers drug mart (btw im a CHEAP person)

Thanks in advance! My pores are HUGE and I have tons of blackheads! Help?!?
Yes yes. use simple, clean mint julep masks, and use WITCH HAZEL, which is cheap and comes in a bottle next to the rubbing alcohol. It works well, but has very little alcohol almost none. never use alcohol on your face in high concentrations. AFter, moisturize with cetaphil or like facial moisturizers that contain at least SPF 15. THEN, make sure you cut back on sugar in your diet, and bulk up on whole grains, vegetables and such.My pores are HUGE and I have tons of blackheads! Help?!?
I had the same problem. I use a benzoyl peroxide scrub (microbeads) that exfoliate my skin and shrink my pores. Mine can only be bought at a specific spa, but if you can find one that is 2.5% strength, it would work like a miracle.

When you use it, don't leave it on for more than a couple of minutes. It will dry your skin out, but eventually you will get used to it. I would only use it at night at first, right before you go to bed, in case your skin gets red like mine did. Then use just hot water and a wash cloth in the morning.

Once your skin gets clear, you can just use it a couple of times a week to keep it that way. But at first i had to use it everyday or sometimes every other day. This stuff works better than anything I've tried.

I also use a pH balancing mild gel cleanser which keeps my skin clear without over drying it. But i still use the BP scrub when my skin gets oily.
A regular old scrubbing will clean your complexion but, unfortunately, isn't powerful enough to banish blackheads since they're an accumulation of dead skin cells, oil and pigment deep within the pores. To do some serious purging, use a cleanser and a toner that contains salicylic acid every morning and night, says Miami and New York City dermatologist Fredric Brandt. Try Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Foam Cleanser, $6.49, and Dr. Brandt Poreless Tone, $35.

If the skin-clearing solution doesn't work, ask your dermatologist to prescribe Retin-A, Differin or Tazorac, vitamin-A derivatives that speed up cell turnover to prevent old skin cells from clogging your pores. (FYI: OTC retinol creams, although effective at reducing fine lines over time, aren't strong enough to clear up clogged pores quickly.)

**Regular use of a pore-minimizing cream will keep them clear and less oily, which will make them appear smaller.
If you are serious . I had black heads in corners and on the tips of my nose. They are annoying. You have to use a cleanser to cleaner out the pores and a toner to lock out the dirt. I went to www.warmspirit.org/Marion and ordered the prickly pear exfoliating facial and earth mask. I only had to purchase it once. Its fast, all natural. I have been using it for 4 months and let me tell you my black heads are gone. So if you are serious ordered and start using it right away. Good luck.
I had trouble getting rid of blackheads too. Try Queen Helene Mint Julepe Masque. It worked really good for me! After you clean your face, just put it all over and leave it on for about 15 minutes. It'll dry and then you wash it off with warm water. And it wouldnt hurt to keep using the nose strips to pull out whats left. You can get an 8 oz for like 4 bucks at cvs. (thats where i got mine). Or you can order it from drugstore.com. Im not really sure how often you should use it though. probably like a couple times a week.Although i use mine every other night. My blackheads are soo much better! i can barely see them now.and remember, you cant change the diameter of your pores. but you can make them appear much, much smaller. probably almost invisible by cleaning them out really good and keeping them that way.
Hi!

Exfoliate totally TRY IT!!!!!!!!!!Dry coffee (ground) on moist skin, rub in gentle circles 30 seconds and rinse! Beware of messiness lol.

Also try witch hazel as a toner/ facial astringent, cost around 2$ at the pharmacy, apply liberally to your face after washing and allow it to air dry. Witch hazel will normalize your skin and help it self-regulate.

I actually found a natural 100% plant extracts facial oil that slows down your skins oil production, clears up pimples/ acne and dissolves black heads within 4-8 weeks I put all the info on my blog as it's quite detailed:

http://beautymoi.blogspot.com

I also put a full article of how to extract blackheads and steam your skin.

Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted from your pores and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix, no water based product can ';clean'; your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. So this is basically how this oil works. It's composition is such that the skin accepts it as a healing oil and it does not clog your skin but rather protects it while the plant extracts inside go down into the pores (this absorption is made possible by applying the toner to the skin before applying the oil and then applying the dabs of oil over your moistened face), it then penetrates into the pores.

I put where to the name of the oil and prices in stores versus on eBay as well as how to apply it on my blog:

Also be sure to check out all the links on my blog as they have lots of info!!!

For acne you may want to look on Google for Drying Lotion by Mario Badescu.

Take care and good luck!
