Your pores are your pores and no matter what a product promises you aren't going to reduce your pore size. I DO believe that if you keep your blackheads at bay, that you can keep your pore size minimized. That is, rather than allowing them to continually fill with dirt and sebum, if they are cleaned on a consistent basies and your skin treated gently, you can help eliminate enlarging pores anymore than they already are.
Start by cleansing your skin very well with something gentle like Cetaphyl cleanser. This will clean your skin without stripping the natural oils and emollients on your skin. Next, use the asprin mask below. It will gently exfoliate your skin and should help your blackheads but remember, you didn't get them overnight so it may take a little bit of time to correct the problem. Chances are that they'll look MUCH better but you need to keep up the routine once a week to help clear out the pores and restore your skin to a radiant glow. Once cleansed, skip toning and follow up with a non-comedogenic moisturizer and/or sunscreen and you're good to go! If your skin is dry (which I'm doubting) or if you find it drying out in the T-zone, cut back your mask to every 2 weeks instead of using a heavier moisturizer.
Please, do not press or squeeze blackheads! Leave any extractions to your dermatologist or esthetician. They know how to easily extract all the dirt and sebum from your pores without any damage to the skin. They're also mindful of sanitation, returning the skin to it's proper pH balance, etc. There are tools used for extraction and if you MUST extract at home, please purchase one and learn how to use it properly and under the correction conditions.
';The aspirin mask is a homemade BHA mask available to each and everyone of us, totally inexpensive and highly efficient, made of salicylic acid or tablets of aspirin. BHA is known to help tremendously with cleaning pores from deep inside and therefore contribute to keeping our skin blemish-free. BHAs are efficient on existing blemishes as well, by helping them heal faster and keeping pores clean afterwards.';
This mask is good for all skin types, especially normal to oily and combination skin, acne-prone and clogged skin.
';Basic preparation: 1/4 tsp. salicylic acid (ask for it at pharmacy, if you cannot find it, then crush 3-5 tablets of plain aspirin instead), distilled water. Mix the powder with the water until it becomes of a creamy consistence, apply on clean dry skin (focus on T-zone and sides of the nose). Keep it on until completely dry. Take a small cotton pad, wet it lightly and begin scrubbing the areas covered with the mask, making small circles. Finally, rinse with plenty of water. It would be excellent to apply a calming mask or a hydrating mask first, followed by your regular moisturizer. Skin will be left completely smooth and even.';

you can get rid of the pores and even black heads but you have to get some sweat out of you and avoid greasy food. gym is the best option and the rest left on yer face can be cured by dozens of natural masksCan you do anything about large pores and blackheads?
nothing permanently reduces large pores, you're stuck with those. mud mask reduces the look and temporarily seems to shrink pores. do a mask once a week.
Proactiv gets rid of blackheads and whiteheads as well as regular zits. the product can be drying so use a lot of moisturizer after it is dry on your face.
I used to use Proactiv and got fed up with their shipping mistakes and horrible customer service. I switched to Exposed acne treatment. I don't get a lot of zits, but lots of blackheads and whiteheads. Exposed keeps them at bay. I am delighted to have made the switch. Exposed is just as effective as Proactiv and less harsh. it is a superior product that comes with a 1 year money back guarantee! faster shipping (no mistakes to report in 1 year of use) and no problems with my account thusfar, unlike Proactiv.
try Exposed - it will change your skin.
Hi!
I actually found a facial oil that slows down your skins oil production, clears up pimples/ acne and dissolves black heads within 4-8 weeks I put all the info on my blog as it's quite detailed:
http://beautymoi.blogspot (.com) =%26gt; remove the parentheses
I also put a full article of how to extract blackheads and steam your skin.
Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted from your pores and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix, no water based product can ';clean'; your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. So this is basically how this oil works. It's composition is such that the skin accepts it as a healing oil and it does not clog your skin but rather protects it while the plant extracts inside go down into the pores (this absorption is made possible by applying the toner to the skin before applying the oil and then applying the dabs of oil over your moistened face), it then penetrates into the pores.
I put where to the name of the oil and prices in stores versus on eBay as well as how to apply it on my blog:

Also you may want to Google Drying Lotion by Mario Badescu.
Take care and good luck!

You can ';shrink'; large pores by using a green mask by the brand Queen Helene. I've used it a few times and it works. Unfortunately, I can't remember the name of the actual mask. They carry different formulas.
You can't actually make your pores smaller. You can make them look smaller by using certain products that make your skin feel a bit stretched. Extractions are amazing, but if you can't see a professional, a good way to get the extra gunk out at home is to place a steaming damp washcloth over your face to open the pores and then use a mask that targets blackheads.
mudmasks
they drag out all the excess oil and other gross stuff out of your skin
the deluvia dead sea mudmask works rly well.
I have been using Clinique for pore reduction, it actually works as far as you keep using it consistently, to diminish the look of large pores.
Mud masks do not do that, CLAY masks do.
I would recommend seeing a skin care professional and having some extractions (DO NOT DO THEM YOURSELF, YOU CAN WORSEN THE SITUATION), such as a dermatolagist or an esthetician, then getting on a skin care regimin to tighten the skin back up and shrink those pores.
As far as store-cought skin care, try the neutrogena line, most others have stuff in them that can be bad. But that is only if a skin care professional is not a possibility.
Wash your face 2 times everytime you do, once to remove oil, dirt and make-up, once to cleanse the skin. This should help too. Remember, results take time and if your case is severe it could take several months. 3 months could seem like a lot, but patience pays off and a change in your skin is important.
Large Pores Treatment - Home remedies
SUGAR SCRUB
Ingredients: 1 Tablesoon each of sugar, olive oil and honey.
Wet face, apply scrub by rubbing very gently in a circular motion. Remove with water with hands only.
EGG WHITE MASK
Mix 2 egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice. Apply on face and leave on for 5-7 minutes, then rinse with hands.
Note: As egg whites dry, they linghten the skin and pull debris out of pores. Lemon is a natural fruit acid which also helps to exfoliate.
Or you may try the following to treat large pores
1) Mix almond meal with enough water to make a paste. Apply to pores for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, then apply withch hazel or a solution of apple cider vinegar and water.
2) Mix table salt and buttermilk into a paste, apply on enlarged pores and massage well. Rinse with warm water.
3) Add lemon juice and a little milk to oatmeal. Apply the paste and remove after 20 minutes with water. Do not use if there are eruptions.
Tips on reducing large pores
Stop using harsh toners or astringents on the affected areas. Using these products may have a very temporary 'tightening' effect on pores, but it's extremely short-lived. In fact, harsh astringents actually encourage oil glands to over-produce oil, leading to an increase in the size of pores.
Avoid putting moisturiser on the area as the skin produces quite enough moisture and oil on its own and doesn't need more.
Makeup tips to hide the appearance of large pores
Heavy foundations will draw attention to your large pores. So, stay with a sheer, light and oil free foundation.
Apply foundation, concealer, powder and blusher in a downward motion, otherwise you'll accentuate pores by pushing colour up and into them.
Steam your face weekly
How to get rid of Blackheads
Cleanse the face thoroughly with a good cleanser meant for oily skin. Preferrably use a salicylic acid cleanser.
Apply an astringent like witch hazel. It helps reduce oiliness. If its a bit harsh mix a bit of rose water in it.
Apply a good quality medicated cream or gel containing resorcinol, salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. This helps is soaking the oil and helps in peeling away the blackheads. You can get creams or gels of Benzoyl Peroxide treating blackheads If benzoyl peroxide leaves your skin dry, apply an oil-free moisturizer after 10 mins of applying benzoyl peroxide.
Effective Tips to get rid of blackheads
鈥xfoliate the blackhead prone area 3-4 times a week using facial exfoliators and scrubs.
鈥se creams containing AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Fruit acids) like glyco-creams that will clear away any dead skin cells and ';expose'; the blackhead. Use the AHA's every 3 days or so.
鈥void washing the face with soaps more than twice a day. Instead wash your face often with plain water splashes.
鈥ften use a mask with a clay base.
If blackheads look ready to pop out, you could try removing them gently by using a blackhead extractor. Also, Pore cleanser strips (blackhead extractor) for removal of blackheads are highly recommended for the treatment/removal of blackheads. Using them once per week will leave your pores cleaner and smaller.
Steam your face to soften both the skin and the material blocking the pores.
